ไมโครซอฟท์อธิบาย Universal App Platform (UAP) ปรับ UX ของแอพตามประเภทอุปกรณ์ได้

ข่าวเก่าจากงาน MWC 2015 นะครับ ไมโครซอฟท์อธิบายรายละเอียดของ Universal App Platform (UAP) สภาพแวดล้อมสำหรับพัฒนาแอพบน Windows 10 ที่เขียนแอพครั้งเดียวลงพีซี มือถือ เครื่องเล่นเกม และอุปกรณ์ IoT ได้เลย มีหน้าร้าน (สโตร์) เดียวกัน มีบัญชีนักพัฒนาเดียวกัน และ SDK เพียงชุดเดียว

Universal App Platform จะมีเครื่องมือช่วยสนับสนุนนักพัฒนา 3 อย่างคือ

  • Adaptive UX UI/UX ของแอพจะปรับเปลี่ยนตามชนิดของอุปกรณ์ได้ตอนรันไทม์ เช่น ถ้ารันบนจอสัมผัส ปุ่มจะปรับขนาดใหญ่ขึ้นเพื่อรองรับนิ้วสัมผัสให้อัตโนมัติ นักพัฒนาไม่ต้องแยกโครงการย่อยสำหรับอุปกรณ์คนละขนาดหน้าจออีก
  • Natural user input รองรับวิธีป้อนข้อมูลหลายรูปแบบ เสียงพูด ปากกา จอยเกม นิ้วสัมผัส รวมถึงการเพ่งสายตาของผู้ใช้ (user gaze) ซึ่ง Windows จะจัดการอินพุทเหล่านี้ให้หมด นักพัฒนาแค่กำหนดว่าแอพของเราเหมาะกับอินพุทแบบไหนบ้างเท่านั้น
  • Cloud-based Services ไมโครซอฟท์จะเปิดบริการออนไลน์ให้นักพัฒนาใช้เป็นจำนวนมาก เช่น Windows Notification Services (WNS), roaming data, Windows Credential Locker รวมไปถึง Cortana, OneDrive และบริการต่างๆ บน Azure ด้วย

ZDNet เรียก Universal App Platform ว่าเป็นซูเปอร์เซ็ตของ WinRT ที่ใช้ใน Windows 8.x และ Windows RT โดยไมโครซอฟท์จะเผยรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมอีกรอบในงาน Build เดือนเมษายนนี้

ผมไม่ค่อยเก่งเรื่องโค้ดเท่าไหร่นะ

แต่จากที่อ่านมาเนี่ยคือเข้าใจว่า "ถ้าพัฒนาแอพครั้งเดียวก็ไม่ต้องไปปรับเหมือน Android ที่มีปัญหาเรื่องขนาดหน้าจอจนคนเขียนแอพ Android ก็ต้องปวดหัวกว่า iOS ซึ่ง Microsoft ก็จะมาแนวแบบ iOS ที่สร้างแอพครั้งเดียวใช้ได้ทั้งหมดบน Windows 10" ผมเข้าใจถูกไหมครับ ?

เอาง่ายๆ การพัฒนาแอพบน Windows 10 จะง่ายขึ้น แบบนี้ใช่ไหมครับ ?
