Microsoft Edge ตัวใหม่พลัง Chromium สามารถติดตั้งส่วนขยายของ Chrome จาก Chrome Web Store ได้ตรงๆ (โดยเปิดใช้ฟีเจอร์นี้ก่อนในหน้า Extensions ของ Edge) ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในกลยุทธ์ของไมโครซอฟท์เพื่อแก้ปัญหาเรื่องความเข้ากันได้ของ Edge กับส่วนขยายต่างๆ

ล่าสุดวันนี้ หากเราเข้าหน้าเว็บ Chrome Web Store ด้วย Edge จะเห็นข้อความแจ้งเตือนจากกูเกิล แนะนำให้ใช้ Chrome แทนเพื่อความปลอดภัยของส่วนขยายที่ดีกว่า โดยไม่ได้ระบุรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมจากนี้

เว็บไซต์ ExtremeTech มองว่าการติดตั้งส่วนขยายจาก Chrome Web Store สามารถอัพเดตเวอร์ชันล่าสุดได้เมื่อใช้ Chrome เท่านั้น เพราะการติดตั้งบน Edge จะมองว่าเป็นการทำ sideloading แบบกลายๆ (คือไม่ใช่ช่องทางอย่างเป็นทางการ)

ตั้งแต่โหลดมาใช้ก็ลบตัวอื่นออ

ก็แสดงว่าถ้า extension ที่ Chrome Web Store มีการ update
extension ที่เคยติดตั้งบน edge ก็จะไม่ได้รับการ update เช่นกัน

ลองใช้ 2 สัปดาห์แล้วกลับมาใช้

เรียกว่าทีใครทีมันละกัน windows กับ bing ก็แสบใช่ย่อย ตอนจะเปลี่ยน default browser เป็น chrome นี่ถามแล้วถามอีก แถมพยายามโฆษณาให้ใช้ edge ที่ก่อนหน้านี้ก็ค่อนข้างจะป่วยสะเหลือเกิน
รอบนี้ edge ไปอาศัย store ของเค้าบ้างก็โดนเอาคืนฮ่าๆ

กำลังจะมาบอกแบบนี้เลย

วันดีคืนดี อยู่ๆก็มี Pop up ขึ้นมา บอกว่า "มาใช้ Edge เถอะ"

ถ้าทันช่วงแรกที่ Chrome ออกมา

ถ้าทันช่วงแรกที่ Chrome ออกมา ใช้ Google หรือ product Google ที่เข้าผ่าน browser อื่นที่ไม่ใช่ Chrome ก็จะมีแสดงให้โหลด Chrome เหมือนกัน

ก็พื้นที่ใครพื้นที่มันแหละ
