สิ้นสุดการรอคอย AIS สามารถใช้บริการ VoLTE สำหรับ iPhone ได้แล้ว

หลังจาก AIS ประกาศเปิดบริการ Voice over LTE (VoLTE) เมื่อเดือนมีนาคมในปี 2559 ไปแล้วนั้น โดยสามารถใช้บริการได้ครบ 77 จังหวัดทั่วประเทศไทย แต่ยังคงจำกัดเฉพาะมือถือบางรุ่น

แต่เดิมนั้นหากใครใช้ iPhone กับเครือข่าย AIS อยู่ เมื่อมีการโทรออก หรือรับสาย iPhone จะทำการสลับสัญญาณกลับไปใช้ย่าน 3G แทน 4G ที่ใช้อยู่ แต่การรอคอยได้สิ้นสุดลง เพราะขณะนี้ Apple ได้ปล่อยการอัพเดต Carrier เวอร์ชัน 27.2 ทำให้ iPhone สามารถใช้งาน VoLTE บนเครือข่าย AIS ได้แล้ว

VoLTE หรือบางค่ายอาจจะเรียกว่า HD Voice คือบริการที่สามารถใช้งานโทรออก หรือรับสายด้วยเสียง (Voice) บนเครือข่าย 4G ซึ่งให้คุณภาพเสียงคมชัดยิ่งขึ้นระดับ Full HD, เสียงรบกวนต่ำ, การเชื่อมต่อคู่สายเร็วกว่าเดิม

สำหรับมือถือ iPhone รุ่นที่รองรับมีดังนี้ iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus

การตั้งค่าเพื่อใช้งานนั้นต้องทำการอัพเดตเวอร์ชันของ Carrier ให้เป็นเวอร์ชันที่สูงกว่า 27.1 และใช้งาน iOS เวอร์ชัน 9.3 เป็นต้นไป

*การใช้ VoLTE ไม่เสียค่าบริการเพิ่มเติมในเรื่องของอินเตอร์เน็ต (Internet Data) เพราะคิดตามปริมาณการโทรตามปกติเป็นนาที (Voice)

หืม? Android โดยเฉพาะพวก Samsung Galaxy ตัวใหม่ๆ ใช้ได้มาตั้งนานแล้วนะครับ นานจนผมเองก็ลืมเรื่อง VoLTE ไปแล้ว (คิดว่ารุ่นใหม่ๆ ใช้ได้หมดแล้ว) เห็นข่าวนี้ยังคิดเลยว่า iPhone เพิ่งใช้ได้หรือ นึกว่าเปิดให้ใช้ไปแล้ว

พ่อผมใช้ Note 5 กับ AIS เห็นมันขึ้นเป็น VoLTE มานานหลายเดือนมากแล้วนะครับ แต่เวลาใช้งานจริงนี่หาเครื่องปลายสายที่ใช้ VoLTE เหมือนกันด้วยยาก (แม้แต่เครื่องผม Note 4 ก็ยังไม่รองรับ T_T) ก็ต้องโทรแบบ 3G กันไปก่อน

จำข่าวตอน AIS เปิด VoLTE ให้ใช้ใหม่ๆ ได้ว่าของ iPhone ต้องรอให้แอปเปิลอัพเดตก่อน เพิ่งมาได้ตอนนี้แบบนี้ถือว่าแอปเปิลอัพเดตช้ามากเลยนะครับ

ปล. เพิ่งไปค้นมา AIS เปิดตัว VoLTE เมื่อ 25 มีนาปี 59 https://www.blognone.com/node/79407 ก็ถือว่าแอปเปิลช้าไปถึง 10 เดือนทีเดียว ขณะที่พวก SS Galaxy ใช้กันได้ตั้งแต่ตอนเปิดตัวไปแล้ว

มันได้เฉพาะบางยี่ห้อ บางรุ่นนี่สิครับที่เครือข่ายเปิดให้ใช้ Sony นี่รองรับมาตั้งนานแล้วไม่มีค่ายไหนเปิดให้ใช้เลย

เปลืองยังไงอ่ะครับ มันจะใช้ voice เมื่อโทรเท่านั้น ที่เหลือก็เหมือนเดิม ถ้าอยู่ในพื้นที่ LTE ก็ไม่ต้องสลับไป 3G ด้วย
