เว็บไซต์ SamMobile รายงานข่าววงในว่าซัมซุงเตรียม "จัดระเบียบ" ชื่อเรียกสายผลิตภัณฑ์ของตัวเองใหม่ให้เข้าใจง่ายมากขึ้น โดยจะใช้ตัวอักษรตัวเดียว แบบเดียวกับ Galaxy A Series (ที่แยกเป็น Galaxy A3 และ Galaxy A5)

ถ้าข่าวนี้เป็นจริง อีกไม่นานเราคงได้เห็นสินค้าของซัมซุงภายใต้ชื่อแบบใหม่ แทนที่จะเป็นชื่อยาวๆ (Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch) หรือชื่อเรียกงงๆ ไม่มีที่มาที่ไปแบบของเดิม (เช่น Galaxy Core หรือ Galaxy Win)

ก่อนหน้านี้เราเพิ่งเห็นข่าว ซัมซุงปรับทัพสมาร์ทโฟนใหม่ ใช้ชิ้นส่วนแต่ละรุ่นร่วมกันมากขึ้น และ Project Zero มือถือเรือธงแบบคิดใหม่ทำใหม่ของซัมซุง

ตั้งชื่อน่ะไม่เท่าไรหรอก แต่ขอคุมกำเนิดรุ่นให้มีรุ่นย่อยน้อยจะดีกว่า เพราะตอนนี้แค่รุ่นเรือธงแต่ละตัวยังมีโมเดลย่อย (variants) เพียบ

เอาง่ายๆ เชื่อหรือไม่ว่าทั้ง 19 ชื่อนี่คือ Samsung Galaxy S4 ทั้งสิ้น GT-I9500, SHV-E300K/L/S, SHV-E330K/L/S, GT-I9505, GT-I9506, GT-I9505G, SGH-I337, SGH-M919, SCH-I545, SPH-L720, SCH-R970, GT-I9508, SCH-I959, GT-I9502, SGH-N045, SGH-I337M, SGH-M919V, SCH-R970X, SCH-R970C

ยังไม่นับว่าแต่ละ variant มีกี่ความจุอีกนะ

คือตอนนี้เฮียเล่นซอยย่อยทุกช่วงราคาจนแทบจะซ้อนทับกันเองไปเสียหมด รวมไปถึงรุ่นเรือธงด้วย แทบจะไม่มีเอกลักษณ์เอาเสียเลย (มีอย่างที่ไหน หน้าตารุ่นเรือธงกับรุ่นกลางล่างเหมือนกันหมด เปลี่ยนแต่ขนาดกับราคา) แถมรุ่นล่างที่สเป็คต่ำกว่าที่เพิ่งออกมาใหม่ ดันได้ใช้ Android รุ่นใหม่ ขณะที่รุ่นอดีตเรือธงกลับบอกว่าใช้ไม่ได้ แรมน้อยไป!?!

ที่ผมไม่เข้าใจที่สุดก็คือ ทำไมต้อง 1 ปีครึ่ง ทำไม่วางตัวเลขกลมๆ ไปเลยที่ 2 ปี หรือตราบเท่าที่เครื่องจะรองรับไหวแบบ iPhone

หรือเป็นเพราะทีมพัฒนา ROM เขามีจำนวนจำกัด??? (องค์กรระดับโลก ขายมือถือ Android ได้มากที่สุดเป็นอันดับ 1 ของโลก แต่กลับไม่มีทีมพัฒนา ROM ให้ทันต่อผู้ใช้ และอีกหลากหลายเครื่องที่ซอยย่อยจนเยอะมากที่ตัวเองปล่อยออกมา)
