ไมโครซอฟท์ถอดฟีเจอร์เชื่อมต่อภาพบน Facebook และ Flickr ออกจาก Windows 8.1

ถ้ายังจำกันได้ สมัยเปิดตัว Windows Phone แรกๆ แอพ Photos สำหรับดูภาพสามารถเชื่อมต่อกับบริการเก็บภาพอื่นๆ อย่าง Facebook และ Flickr ได้ ภายหลังฟีเจอร์นี้ก็ถูกยกมาไว้ใน Windows 8

แต่จากการเปิดตัว Windows 8.1 ออกมา ผู้ใช้ที่อัพเกรดไปแล้วพบว่ามีการทอนฟีเจอร์จากแอพ Photos ลง โดยในรุ่นปัจจุบันนี้ไม่สามารถเชื่อมต่อกับ Facebook, Flickr หรือแม้แต่บริการของไมโครซอฟท์เองอย่าง SkyDrive ก็ตาม

แน่นอนว่ามีผู้ใช้ไปตั้งกระทู้ถามในฟอรัม ซึ่งได้คำตอบจากโฆษกของไมโครซอฟท์แนะนำให้ไปใช้แอพของ Facebook หรือ Flickr จะได้ประสบการณ์ใช้งานมากกว่า ซึ่งภายหลังได้มายืนยันเกี่ยวกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงดังกล่าว โดยบอกว่าการปรับปรุงที่เพิ่มเข้ามาอย่างการแต่ง/จัดการรูปในตัวจะให้ประสบการณ์ที่่ดีกว่ากับอุปกรณ์ที่รัน Windows ซึ่งตอนนี้จะเข้าถึงรูปได้เฉพาะในตัวเครื่องเท่านั้น อย่างไรก็ตาม ในประกาศดังกล่าวไม่มีแผนจะนำฟีเจอร์ที่ว่ากลับมาไว้ใน Photos แต่อย่างใด

ส่วนฟีเจอร์เชื่อมกับบริการภายนอกอื่นๆ อย่าง People (เชื่อมกับ Facebook) ยังคงใช้งานได้ตามปกติครับ

Update: A Microsoft spokesperson has issued a statement on the removals, but the company isn't committing to specifically re-enable the Facebook and Flickr integration:

The new Photos app in the Windows 8.1 Preview includes several enhancements. This includes the ability to edit and organize your local photos in one seamless experience that is deeply integrated into your Windows device. While the new Photos app currently only includes those photos stored locally, our intent is to continue to provide richer functionality, enabling you to view, edit and manage more photos. However, we have nothing more to share on that right now.

ให้ไปใช้แอพของ Facebook หรือ Flickr จะได้ประสบการณ์ใช้งานมากกว่า

คือว่า ถ้าแบบนั้นก็ต้องถอดให้หมดล่ะครับ ใน people ที่รวมไว้ก็ต้องถอด ใช้แอพแยกก็ได้ประสบการณ์ใช้งานที่มากกว่าเหมือนกันไม่ใช่รึ ที่เอามารวมกันก็ตั้งใจให้ดูรวมกันได้สะดวกตั้งแต่ต้นแล้วนี่นา
