Samsung เปิดตัว Orion ซีพียูสองคอร์ตระกูล ARM Cortex-A9

จากความสำเร็จของ Hummingbird (ARM Cortex-A8) ซีพียูเบื้องหลังความแรงของ Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Wave และ Samsung Galaxy Tab ล่าสุด Samsung ได้เปิดตัว Orion ซีพียูสองคอร์ตระกูล ARM Cortex-A9 ความเร็ว 1 GHz โดยมีคุณสมบัติคร่าวๆ ดังนี้

  • ประสิทธิภาพด้านกราฟิกสูงเป็น 5 เท่าของรุ่นก่อน
  • เข้ารหัสและถอดรหัสวีดีโอความละเอียด 1080p ที่เฟรมเรท 30 fps
  • ฝัง GPS มาในตัว
  • ตัวควบคุมการแสดงผล 3 หน้าจอ (ต่อจอนอกได้ 2 จอ?)
  • ส่วนเชื่อมต่อ HDMI 1.3a บนชิป

โดย Orion พร้อมขายสำหรับลูกค้าที่ถูกเลือกปลายปีนี้ และจะสามารถผลิตจำนวนมากเข้าสู่ตลาด (mass production) ได้ภายในครึ่งปีแรก 2011

arm ขาย license ให้แต่ละเจ้าเอาไปทำกันต่อครับ arm มีมายาวนานมากแล้วเพียงแต่เราเพิ่งรู้จักชื่อมันจริงๆจังๆไม่กี่ปีนี้เอง

ออกมาแบบนี้โปรเจค IP4 VS SSGS ผมสะดุดเลย
เทคโนโลยี รุ่นหน้ามันกระชากใจมาก O-o
ทั้งฝั่งผลไม้ (Liquid Metal + Intrinsic)
และ ฝั่งแดนกิมจิ (Orin+Super Amoled)

งั้นผมเลือกที่จะเสียสละ รอดูไปก่อนละกันไม่รีบซื้่อและ 555

ถ้าจะรอมันก็คงมีตัวใหม่มาเรื่อยๆ อะครับ ตัวนี้กว่าจะขาย mass ก็กลางปีหน้า (iPhone ใหม่ก็ออกแล้ว) และกว่าผู้ผลิตจะผลิต product ที่ใช้ cpu ตัวนี้ออกมาก็ต้องบวกเวลาไปอีกนะครับ

อันนี้ผมเข้าใจครับ
แต่ผมเคยซื้อ AMD X2 ตอนมันตัวละ 12500
แล้ว Intel ออก Core ในเดือนถัดมา ทำให้
แค่สองเดือน X2 ผมราคาร่วงไปไม่ถึง 1/3

ผมเลยรู้ว่า ถ้าจะซื้อของเทคโนโลยี ให้มันผ่านช่วงจุดตัดไปก่อน
ไม่งั้น ก็เป็นแบบที่ผมเคยโดน 555
