ไมโครซอฟท์อธิบายประเด็นเรื่องการรองรับแอพ x86 เดิมของวินโดวส์ บน Copilot+ PC ที่ใช้ซีพียูสถาปัตยกรรม Arm (Snapdragon X) ดังนี้

แอพที่ผู้ใช้ส่วนใหญ่ใช้งานบ่อยๆ (87% ของแอพทั้งหมด ในกลุ่มที่ไม่ใช่เกม) มีเวอร์ชัน Windows Arm อยู่แล้ว
อีมูเลเตอร์ตัวใหม่ชื่อ Prism มีประสิทธิภาพดีขึ้นกว่าเดิม เมื่อเทียบ Snapdragon X Elite รัน Prism เทียบกับ Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 รันอีมูเลเตอร์ของ Windows 11 22H2 แล้วประสิทธิภาพดีขึ้นกว่า 2 เท่า
แอพของไมโครซอฟท์เองที่รองรับแล้วได้แก่ Microsoft 365 apps like Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive, OneNote
แอพของบริษัทอื่นที่รองรับแล้ว ได้แก่ Chrome, Spotify, Zoom, WhatsApp, Blender, Affinity Suite, DaVinci Resolve, Camo Studio, CapCut, Cephable, djay Pro, LiquidText, Luminar Neo, VMware Horizon Client และ แอพของ Adobe
Slack ประกาศจะออกแอพเวอร์ชัน Windows Arm ภายในปีนี้
ไมโครซอฟท์จะช่วยผลักดันแอพฝั่งองค์กรให้รองรับ Arm64 ผ่านโปรแกรม App Assure ของตัวเอง
เครื่องมือจัดการคอนฟิกพีซีองค์กร Configuration Manager และ UEFI Configurator ของ Surface IT Toolkit รองรับ Arm64 ทั้งหมดแล้ว

สิ่งเดียวที่ผมอยากให้ emulate ได้ดีคือ VMware ถ้ารันได้เสถียรก็จบครับ โปรแกรมเก่ามีปัญหาก็จับใส่ vm ให้หมด....

ผมเข้าใจว่าใช้ Emulator ที่ทำงานบน x86_64 หรือ AMD64 ไม่ใช่ Intel x86 ของ Intel ซึ่งเป็นเคสเดียวกับ Rosetta 2 ของ Apple แหละ ซึ่งน่าจะใช้แนวทางเดียวกัน

ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับ Windows รุ่นใหม่ ๆ ไม่ support 32-bit มาสักพัก ซึ่งเกี่ยวข้องกับ Intel x86 ด้วยแหละ

Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 ทั้งคู่ แต่ฝั่งนึงใช้ emulator เดิม อีกฝั่งใช้ Prism (ซึ่งจริงๆ ถ้ามี Snapdragon X Elite ที่ใช้ emulator เดิมด้วยก็ดี)
