FIFA ตอกกลับ EA: เกมฟุตบอลของแท้ต้องมีชื่อ FIFA และมันจะเริ่มตั้งแต่ภาค FIFA 24

FIFA หรือ สหพันธ์ฟุตบอลนานาชาติ ออกแถลงอย่างเป็นทางการหลัง EA ประกาศนำชื่อ FIFA ออกจากเกมฟุตบอล พร้อมเปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น EA Sports FC ว่า FIFA อยู่ระหว่างร่วมมือกับนักพัฒนา, นักลงทุน และผู้จัดจำหน่าย ในการพัฒนาเกมฟุตบอลเสมือนจริงที่ใช้ชื่อ FIFA โดยจะเริ่มตั้งแต่ภาค 2024 เป็นต้นไป

"เกมฟุตบอลของแท้ที่มีชื่อแบรนด์ FIFA จะกลับมามอบความสนุกให้เกมเมอร์ และแฟนฟุตบอลทุกคนอย่างแน่นอน" Gianni Infantino ประธาน FIFA กล่าว พร้อมเปิดเผยแผนการพัฒนาเกมฟุตบอลของ FIFA ว่า ก่อนที่เกมฟุตบอลเสมือนจริงจะเปิดตัว จะมีเกมฟุตบอลแนวอื่นที่มีชื่อ FIFA ติดอยู่ออกมาให้เล่นกันก่อนภายในไตรมาส 3 2022

ทั้งนี้ FIFA ยืนยันว่า ลิขสิทธิ์การใช้ชื่อ FIFA ในเกมหลังจากนี้จะเปลี่ยนเป็นรูปแบบ Non-Exclusive จากเดิมที่มอบให้กับ EA เพียงรายเดียว ส่วนเกมที่จะเปิดตัวมาก่อนตัวเกมฟุตบอลเสมือนจริงจะเป็นเกมที่ให้ประสบการณ์เล่นใหม่ ๆ และมีเนื้อหาเพื่อช่วยกระตุ้นการรับรู้ของการแข่งขันฟุตบอลโลก หรือ FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

Gianni Infantino ประธาน FIFA เสริมว่า FIFA 23, FIFA 24, FIFA 25, FIFA 26 และหลังจากนั้นจะยังมีอยู่ ที่สำคัญคือมาพร้อมกับชื่อ FIFA แปะอยู่ในเกม ซึ่งมันจะคงอยู่ตลอดไป และเป็นเกมฟุตบอลเสมือนจริงที่ดีที่สุดอย่างที่เป็นอยู่ตอนนี้

อนาคตเกมส์ก็น่าจะเป็นแนวนี้แล้วล่ะครับออกเป็น Season ทุกปี เพราะแนวโน้มต้นทุน Stock เรื่องกล่องจะน้อยลงเพราะคนหันมาเล่นเป็น Digital มากขึ้น ทำให้ไม่ต้องกังวลเรื่องของค้าง Stock มาเน้นออก Content ใหม่ทุกปี แล้วค่อย Boot ตัวเกมส์แบบยกเครื่องยืดออกไปอาจเป็นตามรอบของ Gen ของ Hardware แทน แนวทางนี้น่าจะแก้ปัญหาเรื่องต้นทุนที่สูงขึ้นของการพัฒนาเกมส์ได้ เพราะถ้าต้องพัฒนาใหม่ทุกรอบมันก็ทำกำไรได้น้อย แถมมีความเสี่ยงเรื่องออกมาแล้วขายไม่ได้อีก
