กูเกิลประกาศว่าเริ่มปล่อยอัพเดต Android 4.4 KitKat ให้กับสินค้าตระกูล Nexus รุ่นเก่าๆ บ้างแล้ว โดยชุดแรกคือแท็บเล็ต Nexus 7 (ทั้งของปี 2012/2013) และ Nexus 10

ส่วนสมาร์ทโฟน Nexus 4 และ Nexus 7 รุ่น 3G/LTE จะได้อัพเดตตามมาในเร็วๆ นี้
