ไมโครซอฟท์อัพเดต Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) ของ Windows 11 Insider เพิ่มฟีเจอร์สำคัญที่ขาดไปคือ file sharing สามารถแชร์ไฟล์กันระหว่าง Windows 11 และ WSA ได้แล้ว แอพที่รันใน WSA จะเข้าถึงโฟลเดอร์ของผู้ใช้ เช่น Documents, Pictures ได้โดยตรง (มองเห็นเป็น /sdcard/Windows ในระบบ WSA) โดยแอพ Android ต้องขอสิทธิเข้าถึงก่อน, ไม่สามารถเข้าถึงไฟล์ระบบของ Windows และสามารถเปิดปิดฟีเจอร์นี้ที่ตัว WSA ได้

ฟีเจอร์อื่นที่เพิ่มเข้ามาพร้อมกันคือ การย้ายไฟล์ด้วยวิธี drag & drop หรือ copy & paste จาก File Explorer ไปใส่ในแอพ Android ได้เลย, ปรับหน้าจอตั้งค่า WSA ใหม่, เพิ่มความเข้ากันได้ของ Wi-Fi API และฮาร์ดแวร์กล้อง, อัพเดตแพตช์ความปลอดภัยของเคอร์เนลลินุกซ์, อัพเดตเอนจิน Chromium WebView เป็นเวอร์ชัน 113, อัพเดตแพตช์ความปลอดภัย Android 13

WSA ของไมโครซอฟท์ยังขาดฟีเจอร์บางอย่างของ Android เวอร์ชันปกติ เช่น widget และการรองรับอุปกรณ์ USB ซึ่งทีมงานไมโครซอฟท์มีแผนการพัฒนาฟีเจอร์ต่างๆ แสดงไว้บน GitHub
