อินเทลร่วมเป็นสมาชิก The Document Foundation, จับมือ SUSE นำ LibreOffice ขึ้น AppUp

อินเทลประกาศเข้าร่วมเป็นบอร์ดที่ปรึกษาของ The Document Foundation องค์กรอิสระผู้พัฒนา LibreOffice และร่วมลงทุนสนับสนุนโครงการพัฒนาในรูปตัวเงิน

นอกจากนี้ อินเทลยังจับมือกับ SUSE ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านลินุกซ์จากเยอรมนี พัฒนา LibreOffice for Windows รุ่นพิเศษ ที่ปรับแต่งความสามารถอีกเล็กน้อย โดยเพิ่มตัวติดตั้งตัวใหม่เข้าไป และปรับปรุงประสิทธิภาพในการทำงานบนซีพียูของอินเทล

จากนั้นอินเทลจะนำ LibreOffice รุ่นพิเศษนี้ไปแจกบนร้าน Intel AppUp Center ซึ่งเป็นร้านขายแอพบนพีซีของอินเทล ที่ตั้งใจจับตลาดกลุ่มผู้ใช้ Ultrabook อีกด้วย

ในข่าวไม่ได้บอกไว้ แต่คาดว่า SUSE ต้องทำ LibreOffice รุ่นพิเศษของตัวเอง (สำหรับ SUSE รุ่นเสียเงิน) อยู่แล้ว มีความเชี่ยวชาญและมีโค้ด อินเทลเลยมาจ้างทำรุ่นบนวินโดวส์ (ซึ่งไม่น่าจะต่างกันมาก) อีกทอดหนึ่งน่ะครับ

น่าสนใจครับ ... ถ้าบริษัท Hardware ทั้งหมดบนโลกลงให้ LibreOffice บริษัทละ 100ล้าน $ LibreOffice คงพัฒนาได้เร็วกว่านี้เยอะเลยครับ เอาเงินไปโปรโมตซัก 1พันล้าน $ ต่อปีทั่วโลก

อ้าว ... ผมฝันไปหรือนี่ ?

บริษัทผมก็ LibreOffice กันนะไม่ได้ใช้ MSWord เพราะไม่มีเงินซื้อครับ ใช้แต่ Google Docs กับ LibreOffice นี่แหล่ะครับ

ปล.Intel ฉลาดดีครับที่ทำให้ LibreOffice ทำงานได้ดีกับ CPU ของตน ถ้า LibreOffice รีดประสิทธิภาพ Hardware ของ Intel ออกมาได้มากเท่าไหร่ก็จะยิ่งดีครับ
