อเมซอนเปิดให้ใช้ Amazon Web Services แก่ลูกค้าใหม่ฟรี

เมื่อสามวันก่อน อเมซอนประกาศโปรโมชั่นใหม่ "AWS Free Usage Tier" ให้ลูกค้าใหม่ทุกรายจะได้สิทธิ์ใช้บริการในกลุ่ม Amazon Web Services (AWS) เพื่อการประมวลผลบนกลุ่มเมฆบน EC2 ฟรี 1 ปี (เริ่มต้น 1 พ.ย.นี้) ประกอบด้วย Amazon S3, Amazon Elastic Block Store, Amazon Elastic Load Balancing และ AWS data transfer

ไฮไลต์โปรโมชั่นดังกล่าวมีดังนี้

  • ใช้ instance ของ micro Linux Amazon EC2 ได้ 750 ชั่วโมง/เดือน
  • ใช้ Amazon Elastic Load Balancer ได้ 750 ชั่วโมง/เดือน
  • ใช้ Amazon Elastic Block Storage ได้ 10 กิกะไบต์/เดือน
  • ใช้ Amazon S3 Storage ได้ 5 กิกะไบต์/เดือน
  • ส่งข้อมูล (data transfer) เข้าบริการทั้งหมดได้ 15 กิกะไบต์/เดือน และส่งข้อมูลออกจากบริการทั้งหมดได้ 15 กิกะไบต์/เดือน
  • ใช้ Amazon SimpleDB ในการประมวลผลต่อหนึ่งชั่วโมงได้ 25 เครื่อง/เดือน
  • ส่งรีเควสเข้า Amazon Simple Queue Service ได้ 100,000 รีเควส/เดือน
  • สำหรับ Amazon Simple Notification Service สามารถส่งรีเควสได้ 100,000 รีเควส/เดือน การแจ้งเตือนผ่าน HTTP ได้ 1000,000 การแจ้งเตือน/เดือน และการแจ่งเตือนผ่านอีเมลได้ 1,000 การแจ้งเตือน/เดือน

+1 ตอนสมัครต้องกรอกเลขบัตรเครดิต ถ้าใช้เพลิน ๆ เกินโควต้าก็โดนชาร์จเพิ่ม พอพ้นช่วงโปรโมชั่นฟรี 1 ปีก็ไม่ได้ระงับ account อัตโนมัติ แต่จะถือว่าเป็นการใช้งานต่อเนื่องไปเลย
คิดจะใช้ก็คงต้องตั้งสติให้ดี เกิดเผลอไปสมัครลืมทิ้งไว้ปีหน้าอาจงงว่าทำไมใบเสร็จบัตรเครดิตมันมีอะไรประหลาด ๆ โผล่มา

ก็แค่อย่าไปสมัครมั่ว

แต่สำหรับคนที่คิดจะใช้อยู่แล้ว ถือว่าเป็นอะไรที่คุ้มค่ามาก
