ข่าวใหญ่ของวงการ Xbox ในงาน E3 2015 ที่ผ่านมาคือ Xbox One รองรับเกมเก่าของ Xbox 360 แล้ว

ล่าสุด Phil Spencer หัวหน้าทีม Xbox ออกมาให้รายละเอียดเรื่องนี้ เขาบอกว่าการรองรับเกมจาก Xbox 360 อยู่ในแผนของไมโครซอฟท์มานาน และเขาก็อยากบอกเรื่องนี้ต่อบรรดาเกมเมอร์มานานแล้ว แต่คนในไมโครซอฟท์เห็นว่ายังไม่พร้อมเลยสกัดเขาไม่ให้พูดเรื่องนี้

ในแง่เทคนิคแล้ว วิธีการของไมโครซอฟท์คือยัดระบบปฏิบัติการของ Xbox 360 ลงไปบน Xbox One เลย ปัญหาคือไมโครซอฟท์ต้องปรับแต่งระบบปฏิบัติการของ Xbox 360 ให้รู้สึกว่ามันกำลังรันอยู่บนฮาร์ดแวร์ของ Xbox 360 จริงๆ ซึ่งต้องใช้เวลาพอสมควร แต่ผลก็ออกมาคุ้มค่าว่าเกมเก่าของ Xbox 360 สามารถเล่นบน Xbox One ได้ทั้งหมดโดยไม่ต้องปรับแต่งอะไรเลย

ถ้าฝั่ง PS4 รัน PS3 Emulator แบบที่ไม่ผ่านระบบคลาวด์เหมือนฝั่ง Xbox บ้างก็คงจะดีนะครับ

แต่เมื่อไหร่จะเปิดขายในไทยสักทีครับเนี่ย รอนานมากละ

cell ของ ps3 มัน unique ทำให้ emulator ยาก อีกอย่างคือ ms nintendo sony ในช่วงนี้เจ้าที่มีปัญหาทางการเงินมากที่สุดคือ sony การใด้เงินผ่านบริการต่างๆ ช่วยใด้บ้าง แถมเมื่อซื้อ onlive (กับอีกเจ้า)มาแล้วต้องทำกำไรให้ใด้

ปล. NX ลือว่าโหดครับ สเปคไม่ดีเท่าแต่สามารถ port เกมมาใด้ง่าย และจะทำราคาขายเครื่องต่ำมากที่ $149.99 เท่านั้น

กรณี NX นี่ผมขอดูยาวๆก่อนครับ และถ้ายังไม่เลิกนิสัยล็อกโซนตามคู่แข่ง กับบริการออนไลน์ที่ไม่เอื้อเท่า MS & Sony ก็คงจะแข่งกันลำบาก นี่ยังไม่นับรวมเกม 1st Party ของตัวเอง และ 3rd Party บางเจ้าที่ยังภักดีต่อ Nintendo นะครับ

เห็นด้วยครับ ผมส่ายหน้าทุกทีเวลาคนบ่นว่าทำไม PS4 เล่นเกมส์ PS3 ไม่ได้ ... ก็มันคนละ arch กันนี่หว่า ถึงเขียน emulator มาได้ ก็อาจจะไม่คุ้ม สู้ทำ PlayStation Now ให้เสถียรดีกว่า

ที่ xbox ทำได้เพราะ รุ่นการสถาปัตยกรรมของเครื่องมันไปด้วยกันได้ แต่ของ ps3 กับ ps4 นี่มันคนล่ะแบบกันเลย มันเลยยากที่จะเอามาใส่ให้ได้ ไม่น่าเลยพี่ Cell

XBOX 360 กับ PS3 เป็น RISC นะครับ แค่สถาปัตยกรรมก็ต่างกันแล้ว ไม่เหมือนที่ XBONE กับ PS4 ที่ใช้ AMD X86-64 แบบเดียวกับบนคอมพิวเตอร์ในบ้านนะครับ

เพราะ MS ทุ่มทุนเรื่องเครื่องเล่นมาก จากยุค Xbox ถือว่าทำได้สำเร็จในอเมริกา ด้วยเกม FPS ส่วนเรื่องสถาปัตยกรรมเครื่องเล่นเกม มีความต่างครับ
