หลังจากที่ Microsoft Band เปิดตัวไปแล้ว และชูเรื่องสุขภาพเป็นหลัก แต่อีกหนึ่งจุดขายสำคัญคือ การจ่ายเงินผ่าน Microsoft Band โดยไมโครซอฟท์ดีลกับร้านกาแฟชื่อดังอย่าง Starbucks เพื่อให้รองรับระบบการจ่ายเงินค่ากาแฟผ่าน Microsoft Band ได้ทันที

สำหรับขั้นตอนการใช้งาน Microsoft Band ในการจ่ายเงินใน Starbucks ง่าย ๆ คือเปิดแอพ Microsoft Health แล้วเข้าไปที่ "Manage Tiles" แล้วกด Starbucks กด "Add Card" แล้วใส่รหัสบัตร 16 หลัก แล้วกดบันทึก แค่นั้นก็เรียบร้อย

อย่างไรก็ดี สำหรับผู้ที่ไม่มี Starbucks Card ทางไมโครซอฟท์ก็ใจป้ำ เมื่อซื้อ Microsoft Band ผู้ใช้จะได้รับ Starbucks Card มูลค่า 5 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐ สำหรับการซื้อกาแฟสักแก้วครับ

ส่วนการจ่ายเงิน ก็ใช้ Microsoft Band จ่อตรงหน้าเคาน์เตอร์ของ Starbucks เพื่อให้พนักงานยิงบาร์โค้ดแค่นั้นครับ

ว้าว ขึ้นมาเป็นบาร์โค้ดแบบนี้ หวังว่าจะยอมให้สแกนบาร์โค้ดอื่นๆ เข้าไปเองได้เร็วๆ นี้นะครับ (โดยเฉพาะพวกบัตรสมาชิกตามห้าง)

ว่าแต่ เวลาจะเรียกบาร์โค้ดขึ้นมานี่ทำยังไงครับ? จริงๆ อยากให้ทำแบบ Apple Pay ได้เลยด้วยมากกว่า

So let me get this straight. Burn 400 calories working out. Then go gain it back at Starbucks? No wonder why this band is America only!

ผมสงสัยมานานแล้วว่า เราสามารถใช้เครื่องยิงบาร์โค้ด (2 มิติ ที่เป็นเส้นๆ ตามห้าง) กับจอมือถือได้มั้ยครับ เพราะปกติผมถ่ายรูปบัตรโลตัส etc. ไว้ แบบเห็นโค้ดชัดๆ ตรงๆ เส้นดำพื้นขาวเลย ยื่นให้เค้ายิงก็ไม่ได้ ต้องบอกเลขอยู่ดี เลยสงสัยกรณีนี้ว่าจะทำได้เหรอ?

มีแอพเก็บเป็นระบบเลยครับ เท่าที่ลองมีคนบอกว่า Lumia 920 (LCD) ทำได้ แต่ Lumia 820 (OLED) ไม่ได้

ถ้าเอาชัวร์ก็จอ E-ink ครับ น่าจะติดแน่ๆ

ปล. รอดูราคาเข้าไทยก่อนกับฟังก์ชันเต็มๆว่าน่าสนใจไหมครับ ^^
