ไมโครซอฟท์เปิดตัว Surface 2 และ Surface Pro 2: แรงขึ้น บางเบาลง คีย์บอร์ดมีไฟในตัว

เปิดตัวตามคาดสำหรับ Surface 2 แท็บเล็ตพลัง Windows 8.1 ที่เปิดตัวพร้อมกับทั้งรุ่น RT และรุ่น Pro

ในแง่ของชื่อผลิตภัณฑ์ ไมโครซอฟท์ปรับชื่อของ Surface RT โดยตัดคำว่า RT ออก ทำให้ตัวแท็บเล็ตรุ่น ARM จะใช้ชื่อว่า Surface 2 โดดๆ ส่วนรุ่น x86 ยังต่อท้ายด้วย Pro เป็น Surface Pro 2 ตามเดิม การออกแบบตัวเครื่องมาในทรงเดิมทุกประการ

สเปคตัวเครื่องฝั่ง Surface 2 มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงไปนิดหน่อย หน้าจอขนาดเท่าเดิม 10.6" อัพความละเอียดขึ้นเป็น 1920x1080 พิกเซล ปรับซีพียูให้แรงขึ้นเป็น Tegra 4 ควอดคอร์ความถี่ 1.8GHz แรม 2GB แบตเตอรี่ใช้ได้นานขึ้น 25% ใช้งานได้เกินสิบชั่วโมง แต่ตัวเครื่องบางลงเป็น 8.9 มม. น้ำหนักเบาลงเหลือ 680 กรัม

ตัวขาตั้งของ Surface 2 จะมีล็อกสองระดับที่ 20 และ 40 องศาเพิ่มเข้ามาครับ

ทางฝั่งซอฟต์แวร์ Surface 2 มาพร้อมกับ Office 2013 RT เช่นเคย โดยมี Outlook RT เพิ่มเข้ามาด้วย และจะมี Best of Skype สำหรับโทรฟรีเข้าโทรศัพท์บ้านกว่า 60 ประเทศ และ Skype WiFi ฟรี รวมถึงพื้นที่บน SkyDrive อีก 200GB

Surface 2 ยังมาพร้อมกับฝาหลังสีใหม่อย่างสีขาวเงิน แต่กระจกด้านหน้ายังคงใช้สีดำเหมือนเดิม

ทางฝั่ง Surface Pro 2 มาคล้ายๆ กับ Surface 2 คือปรับซีพียูไปเป็นอินเทลรหัส Haswell ซึ่งช่วยให้แบตเตอรี่ใช้ได้นานขึ้น 75% สเปครุ่นต่ำสุดมีหน่วยความจำภายใน 64GB แรม 4GB รุ่นสูงสุดหน่วยความจำภายใน 512GB แรม 8GB แน่นอนว่าได้ Best of Skype และพื้นที่ SkyDrive อีก 200GB เช่นกัน

ตัวเครื่อง Surface Pro 2 บางลงเหลือ 13.4 มม. น้ำหนักใกล้เคียงของเดิมที่ 900 กรัม ขาตั้งปรับได้สองระดับเช่นเดียวกับ Surface 2

คู่ขาอุปกรณ์เสริมของ Surface 2 นอกจาก Touch Cover ที่บางลง 1 มม. มีไฟในตัว และ Type Cover ที่มีไฟในตัวเช่นกัน แล้วยังมีของใหม่อย่าง Surface Docking Station ที่ใช้สำหรับวาง Surface Pro และ Pro 2 เพื่อเพิ่มพอร์ตเชื่อมต่ออีกมากมายทั้ง USB 2.0 สามช่อง, USB 3.0 หนึ่งช่อง, พอร์ต Mini DisplayPort, Ethernet, Audio In/Out และพอร์ตชาร์จไฟ Wireless Adapter สำหรับงับเข้ากับคีย์บอร์ดเพื่อใช้งานแบบไร้สาย ปิดท้ายด้วยฝาปิดแบบใหม่สำหรับคนชอบใช้งานนานๆ อย่าง Power Cover ที่เคลมว่าช่วยให้ใช้งานได้นานขึ้นถึง 2.5 เท่าตัว และยังมีฟีเจอร์การใช้งานไม่ต่างอะไรกับ Touch Cover

ชุดอุปกรณ์เสริมใหม่ของ Surface 2 นี้ไมโครซอฟท์บอกว่าใช้งานได้กับทุกรุ่น รวมถึงรุ่นเก่าด้วยครับ

Surface 2 เปิดราคามาแล้วที่ 449 เหรียญสำหรับรุ่น 32GB ส่วน Surface Pro 2 เริ่มต้นที่ 899 เหรียญ เริ่มขายวันที่ 22 ตุลาคมนี้ใน 21 ประเทศ แต่เปิดให้จองพรุ่งนี้เลยครับ
