Carl Zeiss ผู้ผลิตเลนส์กล้องชั้นนำจากเยอรมนี ประกาศว่าจะรีแบรนด์เลนส์กล้องที่ปรากฏบนวงแหวนด้านหน้าของเลนส์ จาก "Carl Zeiss" เป็น "ZEISS" กับผลิตภัณฑ์ตระกูลเลนส์ทุกตัวในอนาคต เพื่อสร้างความสอดคล้องในการสื่อสารแบรนด์สินค้าของบริษัท โดยเลนส์กล้องตัวแรกที่บริษัทจะติดแบรนด์ ZEISS ลงไปคือ ZEISS Touit (แต่เลนส์รุ่นนี้ที่บริษัทผลิตออกจำหน่ายไปแล้วบางส่วนยังใช้แบรนด์ Carl Zeiss อยู่)

เว็บไซต์ Windows Phone Central กล่าวว่า การรีแบรนด์นี้ช่วยเสริมความน่าเชื่อถือของภาพหลุดฝาครอบเลนส์ของ Lumia 1020 (หรือที่เรารู้จักกันในนาม EOS) ซึ่งระบุที่ฝาครอบเลนส์ว่า "ZEISS" แทนที่จะเป็น "Carl Zeiss" เหมือนในอดีต เนื่องจากตอนที่ภาพนี้หลุดออกมานั้นหลายคนกล่าวว่าน่าจะเป็นของปลอมมากกว่า เพราะไม่ติดแบรนด์ของเลนส์ว่า Carl Zeiss นั่นเอง

เหมือนว่า Carl Zeiss จะใช้แบรนด์ ZEISS มานานพอดูแล้วเหมือนกันนะครับ แต่คิดว่าก่อนหน้านี้คงใช้ทั้ง Carl Zeiss กับ ZEISS คู่กัน

ผมมี Planar 1.4/50 ZK มาหลายปี ฝามันก็เขียนแค่ ZEISS

คือฝาครอบเลนส์ของมือถือโนเกียที่ใช้ Carl Zeiss เขียนว่า "Carl Zeiss" ตลอดครับ พอมีภาพหลุดดังกล่าวออกมาซึ่งเขียนแค่ "ZEISS" คนเลยไม่เชื่อกัน ส่วนเลนส์กล้องอื่นผมไม่ทราบข้อมูลนี้เพราะไม่เคยใช้เลนส์ของยี่ห้อนี้ครับ
