เว็บไซต์ GeekWire อ้างข้อมูลจากงานประชุมภายในของไมโครซอฟท์ ระบุว่าพนักงานของไมโครซอฟท์ทุกคนจะได้รับแจกสิ่งของดังนี้

  • คอมพิวเตอร์ที่ทำงานเครื่องใหม่ที่ติดตั้ง Windows 8 (คละยี่ห้อตามพันธมิตรฮาร์ดแวร์ของไมโครซอฟท์) ตามปกติไมโครซอฟท์เปลี่ยนคอมใหม่ทุก 3 ปี แต่รอบนี้ต้องการผลักดัน Windows 8 เลยเปลี่ยนเร็วกว่าปกติ
  • โทรศัพท์มือถือที่ใช้ Windows Phone 8 (ไม่ระบุยี่ห้อ) ใช้ทั้งที่บ้านและที่ทำงาน (ก่อนหน้านี้ไมโครซอฟท์แจกมือถือ WP7 ให้พนักงานทุกคนมาแล้ว)
  • สำหรับพนักงานแบบเต็มเวลา จะได้แท็บเล็ต Surface RT ใช้ทั้งที่บ้านและที่ทำงานได้ด้วย

ไปสมัครงานเป็น รปภ. แบบเต็มเวลา จะได้สักเครื่องไหม .. ปล.คงต้องแจกเพื่อกัน พนง.ควักของคู่แข่งมาใช้โดยเฉพาะในที่ทำงาน แต่ว่าสำหรับมือถือ+ tablet มันจะกลายเป็นเคริ่องที่ 2 ของ พนง.น่ะสิ ^^'

หลายปีก่อนเคยอ่านบทความที่เข้าไปพูดคุยกับกับทีมพัฒนา OS ในไมโครซอฟท์เห็นในรูปถือกันแต่ Thinkpad

ทุกวันนี้ก็ยังใช้ Lenovo ThinkPad X/T/W กันอยู่ครับ แต่รู้สึกว่าช่วงหลังจะเป็น ThinkPad X220T กับ X230T (ของปีนี้) เพราะต้องการผนักดัน Windows 8 บนจอสัมผัส

ส่วนพนักงานที่ support TechNet จะได้ใช้ ThinkPad T/W ครับ เพราะเน้นใส่ RAM เยอะๆ อย่าง T เนี่ยใส่มา 16GB ส่วน W ใส่มาเต็มๆ 32GB เพระาต้องหิ้วเอาไป simulate บน Windows Server และ run พวก VM (HyperV) ให้ลูกค้าดู

ยี่ห้ออื่นๆ ก็เห็นมีนะ แต่น่าจะน้อยครับ
