ไมโครซอฟท์ออกแคมเปญโฆษณาตัวใหม่ของ Bing ชื่อว่า Bing It On โดยอ้างงานวิจัยจากบริษัทอิสระชื่อ Answers Research ที่บอกว่าผู้บริโภคพอใจผลการค้นหาจาก Bing มากกว่ากูเกิลด้วยอัตรา 2:1 ถ้าทดสอบกันแบบ blind test ที่ไม่บอกว่ามาจากค่ายไหน

ไมโครซอฟท์เลยทำหน้าเว็บ Bing It On ขึ้นมา เว็บนี้มีกล่องค้นหาอันเดียว เมื่อกรอกคีย์เวิร์ดแล้วเราจะได้ผลลัพธ์แบบแบ่งหน้าจอโดยไม่ระบุว่ามาจากที่ไหน (แต่เอาจริงๆ ก็พอดูออกนะครับ) แล้วให้เราเลือกว่าชอบผลการค้นหาจากฝั่งไหนกันแน่ 5 รอบ ก่อนจะเฉลยว่าจริงๆ แล้วเราเลือก Bing หรือกูเกิล

นอกจากตัวเว็บแล้ว ไมโครซอฟท์ยังตระเวนไปทั่วสหรัฐท้าคนทั่วไปมาแข่ง โดยเดิมพันว่าถ้าผลทดสอบออกมาแล้ว ผู้ใช้เลือกกูเกิลมากกว่าก็รับรางวัลอย่าง Xbox กลับบ้านไปเลย แต่ถ้าผลปรากฏว่าเลือก Bing มากกว่า ก็ต้องเสียพนันเสื้อแจ็คเก็ตของตัวเองให้กับไมโครซอฟท์ไป (ดูคลิปประกอบ)

เว็บอื่นๆที่ดังๆ ก็เข้าได้ด้วยภาษาต่างดาวแบบนี้ได้ ^ ^

ผมไดด้ 3:2 ให้ Google นะ ผม search ด้วยภาษาอังกฤษล้วนๆ ถ้าเป็นภาษาอังกฤษผมว่าเหมือนจะสูสีอยู่นะ แต่ยังไง google ก็เจ๋งกว่า ถ้าพิมพ์ผิด 555+

แปลกนะ ผมลอง search video ด้วย key word เดียวกัน บนเว็บจริงๆ ของทั้ง Google และ Bing ได้ผลว่า

  • หาบน Google จะได้ผลจาก Daily Motion เต็มหน้าแรก
  • แต่บน Bing เจอแต่จาก Youtube ซะงั้น (แล้วรูปตัวอย่างก็โดยปิดด้วย)

จัดไป 5:0 รู้สึกว่าตัวเองโกงยังไงก็ไม่รู้สิ เพราะดูออกหมดว่าฝั่งไหนเป็นของใคร
ถ้าจะเอาแบบยุติธรรมหน่อย คงต้องเปลี่ยนฟอนต์ให้เหมือนกันก่อน

แยบยลนะ ถ้าดูดีๆแล้วเหมือนต้องการสร้างกระแส Bing เฉยๆ อีกอย่างการแจกเครื่อง Xbox ก็เป็นการสร้างความแข็งแกร่งให้ กับ platform เกมของ Microsoft ไปในตัว

ตามนี้ครับ Search Engine พวกนี้ใช้สถิติผู้ใช้มาจัดอันดับอยู่แล้ว ดังนั้น Google ที่ฐานผู้ใช้เยอะกว่า การจัดอันดับเลยทำได้แม่นยำกว่า Bing
