เดจาวูแอปเปิล กูเกิลถอนแอพออกจาก Android Market เนื่องจากคิดเงิน "นอกระบบ"

ดูเหมือนว่าแอปเปิลไม่ใช่คนเดียวที่ต้องการให้มีการจ่ายค่าบริการของแอพอย่าง "ถูกวิธี" ซะแล้ว แอพ The Visual VoiceMail ที่ถูกดาวน์โหลดไปแล้วเป็นล้านครั้งได้ถูกถอดออกจาก Android Market และนักพัฒนาได้ถามหาเหตุผลที่แอพถูกถอดถอน กูเกิลก็ได้อ้างข้อตกลงข้อ 3.3 จาก Developer Distribution Agreement

ข้อตกลงข้อ 3.3 ที่ว่านี้ได้เขียนไว้ว่า "หากนักพัฒนาต้องการที่จะเก็บค่าบริการหลังจากช่วง Free Trial แล้ว นักพัฒนาจะต้องเก็บเงินเวอร์ชั่นเต็มผ่านระบบ Payment Processor ของ Android Market เท่านั้น ซึ่งหมายความว่าค่าบริการที่นักพัฒนาได้รับจากสินค้าที่ขายผ่าน Android Market จะต้องผ่านระบบ Payment Processor ของ Android Market"

ลักษณะบริการของแอพ Visual VoiceMail นี้ยินยอมให้ผู้ใช้สามารถเลือกซื้อ Premium Feature ต่าง ๆ ของแอพผ่านเว็บของบริษัทเอง ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่หลาย ๆ แอพบน Android Market ก็ทำกันเป็นเรื่องปกติและไม่ใช่เรื่องแปลกใหม่แต่อย่างใด ส่วนกูเกิลเองก็บอกทีมงานว่าหากต้องการนำแอพนี้กลับเข้ามาขายบน Android Market อีกครั้ง จะต้องส่งแอพที่เปลี่ยนชื่อใหม่มาแล้วเข้ามาอีกครั้งหนึ่ง และรีวิวดี ๆ ทั้งหลายที่เคยสะสมมาก็หายไปพร้อมกับแอพเก่าไปด้วย

"The reason they got pulled is because the clause CLEARLY states that once you start offering the app for FREE you cannot decide later to charge people for the same app. Google says, if you offer a produce for FREE (not a TRIAL) you will not be charged anything on the market side. หมายถึงว่าตอนแรกฟรี แล้วอยู่ดีๆมาเปลี่ยนเป็นเก็บเงินโดยไม่ได้บอกไว้แต่แรก ถ้าแบบนี้ก็สมเหตุสมผลอยู่

แต่ดูใน DDA เหมือนจะไม่ได้เขียนแบบนั้นอะดิครับ

3.3 You may also choose to distribute Products for free. If the Product is free, you will not be charged a Transaction Fee. You may not collect future charges from users for copies of the Products that those users were initially allowed to download for free. This is not intended to prevent distribution of free trial versions of the Product with an "upsell" option to obtain the full version of the Product: Such free trials for Products are encouraged. เค้าก็คงเป็น user ทั่วไปแหละครับ แต่เขาตีความจากตัวกฎข้อ 3.3 เต็มๆ ที่ว่า

Google มาถูกทางแล้ว เงินทองไม่ใช่เรื่องเล่นๆ ต้องควบคุมให้อยู่ ไม่งั้นไม่รู้เลยว่าเงินไหลเข้าออกผ่าน Android ไปเท่าไหร่แล้ว แล้วก็ควรเก็บค่าบริการแค่พอสมควรด้วย

Apple บริหารตลาดเองทั้งหมด สร้างฐานลูกค้าเอง HW,OS ทำขายเองพัฒนาเอง เก็บ 30% = Evil...

Google ทำตลาดผ่านบริษัทอื่น สร้างฐานลูกค้าทางอ้อมทำแค่ OS แต่ HW ให้คนอื่นทำตลาด เก็บน้อยกว่า ผมจำไม่ได้ว่า สมมุติว่าสัก 10% = ไม่ Evil....ทำไม?

ผมพูดภาพรวมครับไมได้เน้นเฉพาะข่าวนี้ เพราะเห็นว่า Apple Evil กันหลายข่าว ซึ่งตัวเปรียบเทียบที่ไม่ค่อยมีคนพูดถึงเลยทั้งๆที่ก็มาแนวเดียวกันผมว่าก็มีแค่ Google นี่แหละครับ แล้วก็ไม่ได้บอกว่ามีใครชมด้วยนะ แต่แค่จะสื่อว่ากระแสทางลบของ Apple ออกมาแรงกว่า Google มากทั้งๆที่ด้วยรายละเอียดแล้วมันเหมือนกันมาก
