Xbox Series X|S มียอดขายแซง PlayStation 5 ในประเทศญี่ปุ่นระหว่างวันที่ 9-15 พ.ค.

สำนักข่าว Famitsu รายงานว่า ระหว่างวันที่ 9-15 พ.ค. 2022 ยอดขาย Xbox Series X|S ในประเทศญี่ปุ่นมีมากกว่า PlayStation 5 ทั้งแบบมี และไม่มีช่องใส่แผ่น ถือเป็นความสำเร็จครั้งสำคัญของ Microsoft ที่พยายามทำตลาด Xbox ในประเทศญี่ปุ่นมาครบ 20 ปี เมื่อเดือน มี.ค. 2022

หากเจาะไปที่ยอดขายของ Xbox Series X|S ในช่วงเวลาดังกล่าวพบว่า Xbox Series S มียอดขาย 6,120 เครื่อง ส่วน Xbox Series X มียอดขาย 105 เครื่อง ส่วน PlayStation 5 แบบมีช่องใส่แผ่น มียอดขาย 2,240 เครื่อง และแบบไม่มีช่องใส่แผ่น 453 เครื่อง

อย่างไรก็ตามยอดขายของ Xbox Series X|S และ PlayStation 5 เทียบไม่ได้กับ Nintendo Switch ที่ช่วงเวลาดังกล่าวจำหน่ายได้รวมกว่า 65,000 เครื่อง แบ่งเป็นรุ่น OLED 35,868 เครื่อง, รุ่นปกติกล่องแดง 20,443 เครื่อง และรุ่น Lite 9,011 เครื่อง

Xbox เริ่มทำตลาดในประเทศญี่ปุ่นมาตั้งแต่ Xbox รุ่นแรก หากนับถึงเดือน มี.ค. 2022 จะเป็นเวลา 20 ปีพอดี โดย Famitsu รายงานว่า Microsoft สามารถจำหน่าย Xbox ในประเทศญี่ปุ่นได้แค่ 2.3 ล้านเครื่อง โดยรุ่นที่จำหน่ายได้ดีที่สุดคือ Xbox 360 ที่ทำได้ถึง 1.6 ล้านเครื่อง

น่าจะเป็นยอดเครื่องที่มีขายมากกว่า PS5ตอนนี้ก็ยังต้องจับฉลากอยู่เลย เดือนนี้มีเว็บเปิดให้จับฉลากเว็บเดียวอยู่ด้วย น่าจะเป็นยอกเครื่องจากแค่เว็บนั้นแหล่ะ ส่วนXbox เดินเข้าไปซื้อตาม BigCamera ได้เลย

สงครามนี้ส่วนมากเป็นสงคราม supply มากกว่า ซึ่งถ้าหากเทียบกับข่าวเรื่องไมโครซอฟท์จ่ายเงินให้ AMD หรือ TSMC เพิ่มเพื่อปั๊มชิปออกมาให้ได้มากเป็นพิเศษจริง ก็แปลว่าข่าวนี้สามารถสะท้อนถึงความพร้อมในด้านของ supply ของไมโครซอฟท์ที่มีมากกว่าโซนี่เยอะ

ถ้า factor เรื่อง Game Pass ไป ยังไงผมว่าส่วนใหญ่เขาซื้อเพื่อเล่น Cloud Gaming มากกว่าครับ เพราะที่ญี่ปุ่นชอบเล่นแบบ mobile มาก และตัว Cloud Gaming ที่บันเดิลใน Game Pass Ultimate เรียกว่าตอบโจทย์คนญี่ปุ่นเป็นอย่างดี

ถ้าถามว่ามันส่งผลต่อยอดขายได้ไหม ตอบเลยว่ามีส่วนแต่คิดว่าไม่ได้ significant อะไรขนาดนั้นครับ
