ผู้บริหาร Bethesda ขอโทษแฟนเกมที่ Starfield ไม่มีให้เล่นบน PS5

Pete Hines ผู้บริหารฝ่ายการตลาดของ Bethesda ไปออกรายการไลฟ์สตรีมของเว็บไซต์ Gamespot และออกปากขอโทษแฟนๆ PlayStation 5 ที่เกม Starfield กลายเป็นเอ็กซ์คลูซีฟ Xbox ด้วยเหตุผลว่า Bethesda กลายเป็นบริษัทลูกของไมโครซอฟท์ไปแล้ว

Hines บอกว่าเขาเป็นเจ้าของเครื่อง PS5 และเขามีโอกาสได้เล่น Starfield บน PS5 แล้ว (แปลว่า Bethesda ทำเกมเวอร์ชัน PS5 อยู่แล้ว และเพิ่งตัดสินใจไม่ขายบน PlayStation เมื่อไม่นานมานี้) เมื่อเขาไม่สามารถทำอย่างอื่นได้ สิ่งเดียวที่เขาสามารถทำได้มีเพียงพูดคำว่า "ขอโทษ" เท่านั้น

ในอดีตที่ผ่านมา เกมของ Bethesda มักลงทุกแพลตฟอร์มอยู่แล้ว จึงไม่แปลกใจที่มีฐานแฟนๆ หลากหลาย จนทำให้ Hines ต้องออกมาขอโทษแฟนเกมจำนวนหนึ่งที่จะไม่ได้เล่นเกมของ Bethesda อีกต่อไป

เคยเห็น MS มีท่าทีเปิดกว้างขึ้น อยากให้มีเกมส์ Cross-Platform มากขึ้น
แต่พอตัวเองได้ผลประโยชน์ ก็กั๊กคู่แข่งอยู่ดี

สรุป ทีใครทีมันเหมือนเดิม

ผมเห็นคนแต่บ่นว่าไม่มีเกม EX เลยซื้อ PS แทนเพราะเกม EX เยอะดีแต่พอ MS เริ่มทำบ้างคนกลับบ่นว่ากั๊กเว็ปข่าวหลายๆที่ก็เขียนไปทำนองนี้ แต่ผมก็เห็นว่าก็ยังเปิดกว้างกว่าอยู่ดีเพราะลง PC กับ xCloud ทำให้มีโอกาสที่จะได้เล่นมากกว่าเกม EX ของ PS

มันกั๊กตรงไหนคุณ first party มันก็ต้องลงเครื่องตัวเองอยู่แล้วไหม เต็มที่ก็ไปลง PC ด้วย ซึ่งเกม Xbox ลง pc หมดอยู่แล้ว
ไอ้ที่เขาส่งเสริมเรื่องครอสแพลตฟอร์มอย่ากั๊กคือการที่ first party ไม่ให้เกม third party เล่นครอสแพลตฟอร์มมัลติเพลเยอร์บนคอนโซลตัวเองแบบโซนี่นู่น ถึงตอนนี้โซนี่จะยอมบ้างแล้วแต่ก็มีเงื่อนไขเพียบจนเขายอมไม่ทำกันซะมากกว่า

Cross-Platform กับ Exclusive Game นี่คนละเรื่องเลยนะครับ

อีกอย่าง ฝั่ง Xbox นี่เรียกได้ว่า ใจป๋าสุดแล้วนะครับที่ให้ PC เล่นได้พร้อม Xbox

ลง Xbox กับ Windows ก็เท่ากับว่ายังเป็น cross-platform นิครับ? แต่แค่ exclusive บนแพลตฟอร์มของไมโครซอฟท์แค่นั้น

แล้วอีกอย่างคือ Starfield มันไม่มีเรื่อง legal obligation หรือเรื่อง legacy บนแพลตฟอร์มอื่น (ตามที่ Phil Spencer บอก) ดังนั้น exclusive 100% ก็ไม่มีปัญหาเพราะเป็น IP ใหม่ อย่าลืมว่า Phil Spencer บอกไว้ว่า จะลงในทุกแพลตฟอร์มที่มี Game Pass

ซึ่งถ้าหากอิงจากอันนี้ ES6 ก็อาจจะลง PS5 ได้ เหมือน Minecraft ที่ยังลงแพลตฟอร์มอื่น

ลดความ fanboy ลงมาหน่อยแล้วดูที่ fact บ้าง
