เตรียมพบ MS Office บน Symbian ต้นปีหน้า

หลายๆ คนเวลาซื้อโทรศัพท์คงจะมองหาว่าสามารถเปิดไฟล์เอกสารที่สร้างจาก Office ได้หรือเปล่า มาวันนี้ไมโครซอฟท์ได้แถลงข่าว (จากข่าวเก่าที่ประกาศเป็นพันธมิตรกัน) ว่า กำลังจับมืออยู่กับโนเกียในการผลิตซอฟต์แวร์ด้านเอกสารสำหรับโทรศัพท์ที่ใช้ Symbian ของโนเกียแล้วครับ

การจับมือร่วมกันในครั้งนี้นั้นมีเป้าหมายในการสร้าง Office Mobile สำหรับ Symbian (ที่แต่เดิมมีแต่บน Windows Mobile) ที่มีจุดประสงค์คือการดู, สร้าง, แก้ไข, แบ่งปันเอกสารของ Word, PowerPoint, Excel และ OneNote นอกจากนี้ ยังมีสร้างแพลตฟอร์มสำหรับการสนับสนุน Microsoft Office Communicator Mobile อีกด้วย

ทั้งนี้คาดว่าผลิตภัณฑ์นี้จะเสร็จสมบูรณ์ในช่วงต้นปีหน้าครับ ส่วนกรณีที่มีคนถามว่าโนเกียจะใช้ Windows Mobile หรือไม่นั้นโนเกียตอบว่าโนเกียนั้น "ไม่มีแผนที่จะใช้" Windows Mobile ครับ
