อินเทลเปิดตัว SSD ตระกูล 660p ความจุ 512GB และ 1TB โดยการปรับปรุงสำคัญคือไปใช้ชิป QLC แบบเดียวกับที่ซัมซุงเพิ่งเปิดตัวไปไม่กี่วันก่อนหน้านี้

SSD 660p มีขายแล้ว โดยรุ่น 512GB ราคา 99 ดอลลาร์ รุ่น 1TB ราคา 199 ดอลลาร์ นับว่าราคาถูกลงกว่า SSD แบบ NVMe เดิมพอสมควร จากรุ่น 1TB ที่มักอยู่ในช่วง 300 ดอลลาร์

สำหรับงานในศูนย์ข้อมูล อินเทลเปิดตัว SSD D5-P4320 ขนาด 8TB ออกมาพร้อมกัน โดยยังไม่มีข้อมูลราคาตอนนี้

ความเร็วจะสู้ Samsung ได้ไหมนะ เจ้านั้นยิ่งขึ้นชื่ออยู่ด้วย

ปล. เคยใช้ optane แล้วเข็ดไปเลย เพราะมันทั้งช้า และอืด บางทีปิดคอมไม่ได้เพราะค้าง แต่พอเปลี่ยนมาเป็น SSD นี่ ไม่เจออีกเลย

ใกล้แล้วหล่ะจุดที่ SSD ต้องโดนด่า โดนรังเกียจแน่ๆ เพราะอายุสั้นกว่า TLC แน่นอน อนาคตเท่าว่าจะต้องเอามาผสมกัน SLC MLC TLC QLC ใน SSD ลูกเดียว แล้วแบ่งการเก็บข้อมูลโดยดูว่าเป็นข้อมูลที่ต้องแก้ไขบ่อยหรือเป็นข้อมูลที่แช้ไว้เม่ค่อยแก้ไข้ มันจะได้ทั้งความจุ และความทนทานที่ควรจะเป็น ถ้า QLC ล้วนๆนี่ ภายใน 2 ถึง 3 ปี เสียงบ่นแล้วหล่ะ

QLC เห็นมีบอกมาแล้วว่าเขียนได้กี่รอบนะ จำได้ว่าน้อยโครตๆ ข่าวนี้บอกว่าเหลือ 150 รอบต่อเซลล์

ตอนนี้มีเรื่อง 3D NAND มาเสริมอีก น่าจะทนขึ้นอีกพอสมควรนะครับ ถ้ายังทำได้อยู่แค่ที่ 150 รอบต่อเซลล์ก็คงไม่กล้าเอาออกมาขาย

ผมมี ocz 64gb ตัวเก่ารุ่นแรกๆ น่าจะเป็น MLC

กับ plextor 250 น่าจะเป็น TLC ทั้งคู่ยังอยู่ดี เขียนอ่านเกินสเปคไปเยอะแล้ว

ผมว่า ถ้าเลือกยี่ห้อหน่อย มันก็น่าจะทนนะ

ส่วน QLC ถ้าเอามาเขียนบ่อยๆคงลาโลกเร็วขึ้น สุดท้ายแล้วผมว่าพวกผู้ผลิต ssd คงเล่นสูตร ใส่ MLC มา 2-4gb หรือยัดแรมมามากขึ้น เพื่อให้ไม่ไปใช้ส่วนของชิป QLC บ่อยนัก จะได้ยืนอายุได้อีกโข เพราะเท่าที่สังเกตการใช้งานจริงๆเล่นเว็บเล่นเกม ทำงานเอกสารนิดหน่อย เขียนวันละ 3-4gb เองของผม
