ไมโครซอฟท์เปิด Xbox Live Creators Program นักพัฒนารายย่อยส่งเกมขึ้น Store ง่ายขึ้น

ไมโครซอฟท์ประกาศโครงการ Xbox Live Creators Program ให้นักพัฒนาเกมรายย่อย นำเกมไปขายบนแพลตฟอร์ม Xbox และ Windows 10 ได้รวดเร็วกว่าเดิม

เงื่อนไขคือเกมต้องเป็น UWP เท่านั้น นักพัฒนาที่เข้าร่วมจะได้สิทธิใช้ระบบล็อกอินและฟีเจอร์ด้านโซเชียลของ Xbox Live (อยู่ใน Creators SDK ที่จะออกมาให้ใช้กัน) จากนั้นเกมที่พัฒนาเสร็จจะนำไปขายบน Xbox One และ Windows Store (สำหรับ Windows 10) ได้ทันที โดยจะแยกไปอยู่ในหมวดใหม่ชื่อ Creators

โครงการนี้จะช่วยให้นักพัฒนาเกมรายย่อย มีโอกาสทำเกมลงแพลตฟอร์มของไมโครซอฟท์ได้สะดวกขึ้น ไม่ต้องผ่านกระบวนการตรวจสอบเหมือนกับเกมของนักพัฒนาค่ายใหญ่ๆ ที่ใช้เวลานาน เพียงแต่เกมภายใต้ Creators Program ก็จะไม่ได้อยู่ในหมวดหลักของหน้า Store

ตอนนี้โครงการ Xbox Live Creators Program ยังอยู่ในช่วงพรีวิว (ภาษาไมโครซอฟท์เรียก insiders) และจะเปิดให้ทดสอบในวงกว้างในอนาคต

เคยได้ยินมาว่า ปรกติก็ไม่นาน แต่จะนานถ้าอยากแปะโลโก้ Xbox Live เพราะต้องส่ง Achievement/Game Score ให้ MS พิจารณาด้วย นักพัฒนาหรือค่ายเกมเล็กๆ จึงไปฝากชีวิตไว้กับผู้จัดจำหน่ายอย่าง Game Troopers (เกมมือถือค่ายนี้แปะ Xbox Live เกือบทั้งหมด)

โปรแกรมอันนี้เล็กกว่า ID@Xbox หรือเปล่า

ตัว ID@Xbox จะเข้มงวดกว่าอันนี้พอตัวครับเพราะไมโครซอฟท์คุมเองครับ ส่วนโครงการนี้เน้นไปที่นักพัฒนาที่จะนำเกมลง Xbox One ครับ (จริง ๆ แอบบอกไว้ตอนงาน Developer Day แล้วครับว่าจะเอามาลงได้แล้ว)
