อินเทลเตรียมออก Celeron/Pentium ตัวใหม่ "Apollo Lake" ชิปสำหรับใช้ในโน้ตบุ๊กราคาถูก (entry level) มาแทนที่ "Braswell" มีรายละเอียดดังนี้

  • ใช้สถาปัตยกรรมเดียวกับ Willow Trail ที่ 14 nm (อธิบายไว้ส่วนเพิ่มเติมด้านล่าง) แต่ให้ประสิทธิภาพที่ดีกว่า โดยแลกกับใช้พลังงานมากกว่า
  • เป็นรอง "Skylake" และ "Cannonlake (ชิปรุ่นต่อของ Skylake)"
  • รองรับ การแสดงผลแบบ 4K, พื้นที่เก็บข้อมูลแบบ eMMC 5.0, และการเชื่อมต่อแบบ USB Type-C
  • ชิปการประมวลผลด้านกราฟฟิค เปลี่ยนมาใช้สถาปัตยกรรมเดียวกับ Intel HD "Skylake"
