[ไม่ยืนยัน] Apple เตรียมใช้ USB-C ทั้งหมดภายในปี 2024 ก่อนจะใช้ชาร์จไร้สายในระยะยาว

Mark Gurman จากสำนักข่าว Bloomberg เผยว่า Apple เตรียมเปลี่ยนมาใช้พอร์ต USB-C หลังจากสภาสหภาพยุโรปลงมติผ่านกฎหมายให้อุปกรณ์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ใหม่ในยุโรปทุกชนิดใช้พอร์ต USB-C ตั้งแต่ช่วงสิ้นปี 2024 ส่วนแล็บท็อปจะยืดเวลาให้ถึงปี 2026

Gurman เผยว่า iPhone 15 ที่น่าจะเปิดตัวในปีหน้าอาจจะมาพร้อมกับพอร์ต USB-C แทนที่พอร์ต Lightning ที่ใช้มาเป็น 10 ปี ส่วน iPad รุ่นเริ่มต้น (iPad mini และ iPad Air) น่าจะเปลี่ยนภายในสิ้นปีนี้ ส่วนถ้าหาก Apple เปิดตัว iPhone SE ใหม่ในช่วงต้นปี 2024 การใช้พอร์ต Lighning ก็ยังถือว่าไม่ผิดกฎ แต่รุ่นหลังจากนั้นก็จำเป็นต้องเปลี่ยนมาใช้ USB-C

ส่วน AirPods ทั้ง 3 รุ่นและอุปกรณ์ Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard และ Magic Trackpad น่าจะอัปเกรดเป็นพอร์ต USB-C เมื่อเปิดตัวรุ่นใหม่ ซึ่งรวมถึง iMac รุ่นใหม่และ Mac Pro ด้วย

ทั้งนี้ Gurman คิดว่า Apple น่าจะไม่ใช้พอร์ต USB-C เป็นระยะเวลานานเหมือนกับพอร์ต Lightning เพราะจะเน้นไปที่การพัฒนาอุปกรณ์ชาร์จไร้สายแทน สหภาพยุโรปเองก็ยกเว้นกฎหมายให้กับสมาร์ทวอทช์และอุปกรณ์อื่น ๆ ที่สามารถชาร์จไร้สายด้วย

ผู้ผลิตอุปกรณ์เสริมที่ใช้ Lightning Port ทั้งหมด สายชาร์จทั้งหลาย และอื่น ๆ ต้องได้ตรา MFi ซึ่งตรานี้ต้องจ่ายให้แอปเปิ้ลครับ รวม ๆ แล้วเป็นเงินไม่ใช่น้อย ๆ ครับ มันก็เรื่องเงินแหละครับ

แต่ USB-C ไม่ต้องครับ

อ่านแล้วงงนิดนึง รุ่นเริ่มต้น มันคนละอันกับ mini+air นะครับ (mini+air มันเป็น usb-c อยู่แล้ว)

ใช่ครับ ผมก็งง ๆ เหมือนกัน ตอนนี้มีแค่ iPad ตัวธรรมดาตัวเดียวที่ใช้ Lightning นะ นอกนั้นเป็น USB-C หมดแล้วนะครับ

เอาจริง lighting แข็งแรงกว่า C นะ อันนี้พูดถึงเรื่องดีไซน์ C มันยังต้องมีก้านบางๆสอดตรงกลางอันนี้เสี่ยงหักมากๆเลย แถมดึงเข้าออกบ่อยๆเหมือนจะรู้สึกหลวมไปเองด้วย ส่วน lighting ผมคิดว่ามันก็แข็งแรงดีติดที่ว่าวัสดุผลิตมันงอกง่อยไปหน่อย ที่เจอบ่อยๆก็ส่วนพลาสติกหุ้มคอมัน crack ง่าย นอกนั้นก็โอเคครับ
