จากข่าวเก่าเมื่อเดือนตุลาคม Yahoo! เตรียมปลดพนักงาน ประมาณ 1,000-3,000 คน วันนี้มันเริ่มต้นแล้วครับ ตัวเลขคือ 1,520 คนซึ่งส่วนมากเป็นพนักงานในสหรัฐอเมริกา โดย Wired รายงานว่าฝ่ายที่โดนปลดคือพนักงานทั่วไปที่ไม่ใช่สายไอที เช่น ธุรการ บุคคล ฯลฯ

การปลดคนครั้งนี้จะช่วยลดรายจ่ายให้ Yahoo! ลง 400 ล้านดอลลาร์ (รายจ่ายทั้งหมดของปีงบประมาณที่แล้วคือ 3,900 ล้านดอลลาร์) โฆษกของบริษัทแถลงว่า Yahoo! ยังเตรียมจะปิดธุรกิจฝ่ายที่ไม่สำคัญต่อทิศทางของบริษัท

Microsoft นั่งยิ้มรอซื้อต่อไป ... แล้วคิดในใจว่า "ขายซะตั้งแต่แรกก็เหมือนเรื่องไปแล้ว" และ Microsoft ก็ถอนหายใจแล้วบอกว่า ดีนะที่ไม่ซื้อ (อ้าว) เพราะทำให้ยังมีเงินสดเหลือให้อุ่นใจเล่น ๆ (ฮาๆๆๆ)

เท่าที่ทราบ Microsoft Thailand เคยบอกว่าไม่เลย์ออฟ

แต่เท่าที่ทราบก็มีการให้ออกเพราะเรื่อง KPI/Performance เป็นเกือบจะทุกเดือนๆ ปริมาณน้อยๆ อยู่แล้ว แต่ไม่ออกแบบหลุดผวัะมาพร้อมๆกัน 5-10% อะไรอย่างนี้นะครับ
