Kinect โดนแฮกให้ใช้กับวินโดวส์ได้แล้ว

เปิดตัวขายจริงได้ไม่กี่วัน มาวันนี้ก็มีคนแฮก Kinect ให้ใช้กับวินโดวส์แล้วครับ

โดยแฮกเกอร์ AlexP ที่เคยแฮก PS3 Eye มาใช้กับวินโดวส์นั้นได้ทำการโพสต์วิดีโอที่แสดงให้เห็นว่าเขาสามารถใช้ Sensor ที่มีอยู่บน Kinect ในการแสดงผลกล้อง รวมทั้งการเคลื่อนไหวของอุปกรณ์ได้ และจากวิดีโอเขายังแสดงให้เห็นว่า Kinect นั้นสามารถควบคุมได้จากในวินโดวส์ได้อีกด้วย (ดูวิดีโอได้ท้ายข่าว)

แน่นอนว่าไมโครซอฟท์นั้นตอบโต้ด้วยการให้สัมภาษณ์ว่าไม่พอใจ และอาจดำเนินการทางกฎหมายต่อเหตุการณ์นี้

สำหรับ Kinect นั้นสั้นๆ คือมันเป็นตัว Sensor เฉพาะของ Xbox 360 ที่ประกอบไปด้วยกล้องธรรมดา, กล้องจับแสงอินฟราเรด และตัวปล่อยแสงอินฟราเรดเพื่อตรวจจับการเคลื่อนไหวของผู้ใช้ นอกจากนี้ยังฝังไมโครโฟนและ Accelerometer เข้าไปด้วย (ลองอ่านที่ iFixit แงะออกมาดูได้) Kinect นี้ต่อกับ Xbox 360 ด้วยพอร์ต USB 2.0 ธรรมดา ทำให้เคยมีผู้เสนอรางวัล 2,000 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐกับคนที่สามารถเขียนไดรเวอร์ให้ใช้งานได้ในระบบปฏิบัติการอื่นครับ

มีใครพอทราบบ้างครับ ว่าการที่มีคนแฮกได้
จะทำไห้ ไมโครซอฟท์ เสียประโยชน์ในด้านใดบ้างครับ

อยากรู้ว่า ทำไมถึงต้องไม่พอใจ ถึงขั้นจะฟ้อง

เท่าที่อ่านในเว็บเพื่อนบ้าน ว่ากันว่า MS ตั้งใจจะทำสำหรับ Windows อยู่แล้วครับ
ก็บายพาสซะขนาดนี้ จะปรี๊ดแตกก็คงไม่แปลก

ผมว่าจากตรงนี้เค้าน่าจะเอาไปประยุกต์อะไรคล้ายๆกับ minority report ในวันหน้าก็ได้ครับ ที่นี้พอมีคนเปิดโปงเทคนิคนี้แล้วก็อาจจะมีคนนำไอเดียนี้ไปทำอะไรก่อนที่ไมโครซอฟต์จะปล่อยสิ่งประดิษฐ์ที่ว่านั้นออกมา ซึ่งจากตรงนี้คงทำให้เสียผลประโยชน์ได้มหาศาลทีเดียว
