[ข่าวลือ] Sony Ericsson เตรียมปิดศูนย์วิจัย 4 แห่ง

มีข่าวว่ามีการประกาศเป็นการภายในว่าทาง Sony Ericsson กำลังเตรียมปิดศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนา 4 ศูนย์ทั่วโลก โดยศูนย์ที่ใหญ่ที่สุดคือศูนย์ที่ The Research Triangle Park (RTP) และคาดว่าพนักงานที่จะถูกปลดจากการปิดตัวครั้งนี้จะอยู่ที่ประมาณ 2,000 คน

ข่าวระบุว่าพนักงานจาก RTP มีสิทธิ์ส่งใบสมัครไปยังศูนย์อื่นๆ โดยระหว่างนี้พนักงานมีงานหลักคือเตรียม "ย้ายข้าวของ" ไปยังศูนย์อื่นๆ ที่กำหนดไว้

Sony Ericsson ทำตลาดได้ไม่ดีนักในช่วงที่ผ่านมา โดยส่วนแบ่งทางการตลาดมีแนวโน้มลดลงอย่างต่อเนื่องมาเกือบสองปี

จริงๆ หลายรุ่นก็น่าใช้นะผมว่า ถ้าใส่หูฟังธรรมดา, ใช้ USB และรับการ์ด SD

ผมก็เชื่อว่า "ถ้าใส่หูฟังธรรมดา, ใช้ USB และรับการ์ด SD" น่าจะมีส่วนแบ่งตลาดได้ดีขึ้นเยอะ เฮ้อ เรื่องแค่นี้ ทำไมผู้บริหาร SE คิดไม่ได้นะ หรือไม่อยากจะคิดกัน :-)

มันเป็น "อารยธรรม" ครับ

โซนี่มั่นใจในอาณาจักรของตัวเองมากๆ (ซึ่งสมเหตุสมผลในยุคนั้น) แต่การแข่งขันที่มากขึ้น คู่แข่งที่เก่งขึ้นไม่เอื้อให้โซนี่อีกต่อไป

ฝั่งเมมโมรี่การ์ด ต้องโทษ Sony

ฝั่งฟาสต์พอร์ท ต้องโทษ Ericsson

แต่โดยส่วนตัวมันก็ไม่ได้มีอะไรมากนอกจากทำให้มี Accessories มาใช้กับมันน้อยลงเท่านั้น FastPort เองก็ใช้งานได้ดีตามคอนเซพท์ (แต่ใช้ ๆ ไปก็พังง่ายกว่าเจ้าอื่นเหมือนกัน) เวลาจะถอดอุปกรณ์ก็แค่เอานิ้วก้อยเกี่ยวพอร์ทออกก็หลุดแล้ว ไม่ต้องดึงด้วยซ้ำ

ส่วนเมโมรี่การ์ดนี่นึกไม่ออกว่า MS ดีกว่า SD ตรงไหนบ้างเหมือนกัน :P

ก่อนหน้านี้ทุกค่ายก็ใช้สารพัดพอร์ตกันเหมือนกันครับ

ชั่วโมงนี้ผมเห็นก็เริ่มยอมแพ้ต่อ USB กันหมดล่ะ ยังไม่เห็นประโยชน์ที่โซนี่จะดึงดันใช้ fast port ต่อไป

ก็ Gadget ต่างๆไงคับ ถ้าเลิกใช้ Fast Port เมื่อไหร่ ก็จบ มีอยู่ก็อดใช้ ขายอยู่ก็อดขาย

มันคงตลกดีนะผมว่า มีหัวแปลงจาก Usb + 3.5mm ไปเป็น Fastport

ที่ชาจร์มือถือก็ขายแพงๆไม่ได้แล้วสินะถ้ามาใช้ Usb เหอะๆ

ผมใช้มือถือ sony มาสามตัวแล้ว ถูกใจทุกอย่าง สมุดโทรศัพท์ที่เจ๋งมาก แต่เกลียดไอ้ fast port นี่แหละ ตอนนี้ fast port ฟันดำหมดแล้ว ชาร์ทไฟเข้าบ้างไม่เข้าบ้างน่ารำคาญมาก
