อีกประเด็นที่ Mark Zuckerberg พูดในงานสัมมนาของ The New York Times คือการลงทุนใน metaverse ที่หลายคนมองว่าเขาทุ่มกับเรื่องนี้มากไป

Zuckerberg อธิบายว่าเงินลงทุน 80% ของบริษัทยังใช้กับธุรกิจหลัก ได้แก่ Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger และบริการโฆษณาต่างๆ ส่วนเงินที่ลงกับ Reality Labs ที่เกี่ยวกับ VR/AR มีเพียง 20% เท่านั้น เขาบอกว่าบริษัท Meta จะยังโฟกัสกับธุรกิจด้านโซเชียลไปอีกพักใหญ่ๆ จนกว่า metaverse จะเติบโตมากพอ

เขาบอกว่าเราสามารถเถียงกันได้ว่า 20% เป็นตัวเลขที่มากไปหรือไม่ แต่ก็ยืนยันได้ว่าสิ่งที่ Meta ทำตอนนี้ยังเป็นเรื่องโซเชียลเป็นหลัก

ส่วนเงิน 20% ที่ลงไปกับ Reality Labs ในจำนวนนี้ลงทุนไปกับ VR (Oculus เดิม) ประมาณ 40% และอีกครึ่งหนึ่งเป็นโครงการระยะยาว เช่น แว่นตาธรรมดาที่สามารถแสดงโฮโลแกรมได้

จริงหรอ ? … เห็นบอตสแปมใต้โพสต์ดัง ๆ ให้คลิกลิงก์ .eu…, .ru..
. เยอะมาก ๆ แถมรายงานไปไม่เคยโดยอะไร (ดีไม่ดี บ็อตมากกว่าทวิตอีก) แต่ในขณะที่โพสต์ เห็นเพื่อนไม่กี่คน และเพื่อนเห็นก็ไม่กี่คน มีแต่โฆษณา โพสต์ลงกลุ่มโดนเฟสว่าสแปมอีก โพสต์ลิงก์บางลิงก์ก็โดนว่าสแปมเฉย ทั้งที่ไม่มีอะไร

แล้วคนที่หันไปลงทุน Metaverse เต็มที่เพราะนึกว่า Meta จะลุยเต็มตัวจะกลายเป็นยังไงละเนี่ย...
