ความเคลื่อนไหวจาก Twitter หลัง Elon Musk ซื้อกิจการยังคงมีรายงานออกมาเรื่อย ๆ ล่าสุด Axios ได้ข้อมูลจากหลายแหล่งข่าวตรงกัน ว่า Musk แนะนำให้ทีมวิศวกรของ Twitter นำ Vine แอปวิดีโอสั้น กลับมาเปิดให้บริการอีกครั้งภายในสิ้นปีนี้

Vine เป็นแอปวิดีโอสั้นที่ Twitter ซื้อกิจการมาและเปิดตัวในปี 2013 และประกาศปิดตัวในปี 2016

รายงานบอกว่าทีมวิศวกรของ Twitter เริ่มได้รับมอบหมายให้กลับไปดูโค้ดเก่าของ Vine แล้ว ทั้งนี้คาดว่าเหตุผลที่ Musk อยากนำ Vine กลับมา ก็เพื่อลงสู่สนามแข่งขันคลิปวิดีโอขนาดสั้น ที่ตอนนี้ TikTok ได้รับความนิยมสูงอยู่

ผมว่าจุดอ่อนของ Twitter คือตัวลงโฆษณานี่แหละ
มันห่วยกว่า Facebook และ Google มากๆ ไม่ได้สร้างผลลัพธ์อะไรเลย
และแอพวิดีโออาจจะใช้ต้นทุนเยอะ เขาเลยทิ้ง เพราะทำเงินไม่ได้
แทนที่จะปรับระบบโฆษณา
