iFixit ติง Apple โครงการซื้ออะไหล่ซ่อมเอง MacBook Pro จะเปลี่ยนแค่แบตฯ แต่ต้องเปลี่ยนทั้งเคส

จากที่แอปเปิลประกาศโครงการ Self Service Repair ที่ให้ลูกค้าสามารถซื้ออะไหล่พร้อมเช่าอุปกรณ์ เพื่อซ่อมแซมอุปกรณ์ได้เอง โดยล่าสุดขยายมารองรับ MacBook ตระกูล M1 ด้วย ล่าสุด iFixit ผู้ขายอุปกรณ์ซ่อมแซมทุกสิ่งอย่าง ได้ดูรายละเอียดการซ่อมแล้ว ก็แสดงความกังวลผ่านบล็อกของบริษัท

โดย iFixit พบว่าการซ่อม MacBook Pro ยังออกแบบมาไม่คุ้มสำหรับการซ่อมเอง โดยยกตัวอย่างการเปลี่ยนแบตเตอรี่ คู่มือระบุไว้ว่าต้องสั่ง Top Case ทั้งชิ้น ซึ่งประกอบด้วย แบตเตอรี่ คีย์บอร์ด ไมโครโฟน ลำโพง ทั้งหมดติดรวมเป็นชิ้นเดียวกันด้วยกาว ไม่สามารถซื้อแยกได้ ค่าใช้จ่ายส่วนนี้รวม 527 ดอลลาร์ แต่ถ้าไปศูนย์แอปเปิลเพื่อเปลี่ยนแบตเตอรี่ ค่าใช้จ่ายจะอยู่ที่ 199 ดอลลาร์ เพราะแอปเปิลสามารถแกะเปลี่ยนเฉพาะแบตเตอรี่ได้

แอปเปิลระบุในคู่มือว่า อนาคตจะทำให้สามารถเปลี่ยนแค่แบตเตอรี่ได้ แต่ไม่ได้ระบุว่าเมื่อใด ทั้งนี้ปัญหาเปลี่ยนยกแผงพบเฉพาะใน MacBook Pro เท่านั้น ขณะที่ MacBook Air สามารถเปลี่ยนแยกส่วนได้

เคยเอา MacBook Pro ไปเข้า Apple Store ที่ไอคอนสยามเพราะแบตบวมจนฝาล่างปูด วางแล้วกระดก ใช่ครับ การเปลี่ยนแบตนี่เขาบังคับเปลี่ยนไปทั้ง topcase เพราะติดกาวไว้ ซึ่งรวมถึงคีย์บอร์ด, touch bar และ touch pad ด้วย เหลือไว้แต่จอ แผงวงจรและฝาล่างที่สลัก serial number ไว้ รวมๆ ทั้งหมดก็เก้าพันกว่าบาท ดีที่มีซื้อ Apple Care ไว้และตอนนั้นยังไม่หมดประกัน

ถ้าจะเปลี่ยนให้ไม่ต้องใช้กาวติด ก็คงต้องทำเคสพลาสติกให้ยึดน๊อตได้เหมือนเมื่อก่อน

ถ้าจะเอาให้แกะแบตเตอรี่ออกได้ทั้ง ๆ ที่ยังใช้กาว อันนี้คงยากนิดนึง?

แต่ถ้าคิดดี ๆ right to repair มันไม่น่าจะเกี่ยวกับความยากของการซ่อมมั้ง จะติดกาวเหมือนเดิมก็คงได้ ถ้าคนซ่อมทำแบตพัง คนซ่อมก็รับผิดชอบเองไป อะไรแบบนี้ครับ (ก็ต้องทนเสียงบ่นจาก iFixIt ต่อไป)

เอาจริงๆนะแค่เลิกใช้กาวติด มันก็เปลี่ยนง่ายแล้วนะ

ถ้ากลัวมันหลวม คลอน มีเสียงดังกุกๆกักๆ ก็หาซิลิโคน หรือฟองน้ำแปะลดช่องว่างก็ได้แล้ว
