เก็บตกรายละเอียดของ Microsoft Office เวอร์ชัน Windows Store ที่ประกาศพร้อม Windows 10 S ในงานเมื่อคืนนี้

  • เป็นการพอร์ต Office 2016 ตัวเต็มแบบเดสก์ท็อป ด้วย Desktop Bridge (Project Centennial เดิม) มาเป็นแอพบน Store
  • กระบวนการติดตั้งและอัพเดต ต้องผ่าน Store ทั้งหมด มีให้ใช้งานทั้งบน Windows Store สำหรับลูกค้าปกติ และ Microsoft Store for Education สำหรับภาคการศึกษา
  • แอพมีเฉพาะเวอร์ชัน 32 บิท
  • Office เวอร์ชัน Store จะรองรับส่วนขยายแบบ Add-in แต่ไม่รองรับส่วนขยายแบบเก่าที่เป็น COM
  • เบื้องต้นจะมีแอพ 3 ตัวคือ Word, Excel, PowerPoint ให้ทดสอบในเดือนมิถุนายนนี้ ส่วนตัวจริงจะมาช่วงปลายปี
  • เมื่อรวมกับแอพตระกูล Office อย่าง OneNote ที่มีเวอร์ชัน UWP ใน Store อยู่แล้ว และ Teams ที่จะลง Store ในไตรมาสสาม จะส่งผลให้มีแอพ Office ทั้งหมด 5 ตัวใน Store
