BlackBerry เผยนโยบายอัพเดต Priv - ออกแพตช์ความปลอดภัยทุกเดือน, มีระบบ Hotfix

เมื่อ BlackBerry ออกมือถือที่ใช้ระบบปฏิบัติการ Android หลายคนอาจมีคำถามว่าปลอดภัยแค่ไหน วันนี้บริษัทออกมาประกาศนโยบายการออกแพตช์ของ BlackBerry Priv ดังนี้

  • ออกแพตช์ความปลอดภัยให้ทุกเดือน ตามแนวทาง Android Monthly Security Updates ของกูเกิล
  • ในกรณีที่มีช่องโหว่ร้ายแรง รอรอบอัพเดตประจำเดือนไม่ได้ บริษัทจะออก Hotfix ให้เป็นพิเศษ
  • มีระบบควบคุมการติดตั้งแพตช์ให้กับเครื่องที่ใช้ในองค์กร เลือกว่าจะติดตั้งแพตช์อะไรกับเครื่องไหนบ้าง ผ่าน BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES)

ไม่ได้น่ะสิครับ รอมแต่ล่ะค่ายก็โมมาอีกที ฮาร์ดแวร์แต่ละรุ่นก็ไม่เหมือน ถ้ารอมไม่มีการปรับแต่งอะไรก็มีโอกาส

ถ้า Google คิดจะทำผมว่าทำได้นอยู่ครับ โดยเลียนแบบ PC ที่อุปกรณ์หลายชิ้นสามารถทำงานได้โดยที่ไม่ต้องลง driver ของมัน (ใช้ driver มาตรฐานที่มาพร้อมกับ OS) แต่ไม่สามารถทำงานได้เต็มประสิทธิภาพจนกว่าจะลง driver ของมัน และผมมองว่าประสิทธิภาพของ hardware ปัจจุบันน่าจะไม่จำเป็นต้องแก้ไข OS เพื่อให้ทำงานกับ hardware ได้ในระดับที่พอใช้ได้แล้วหล่ะครับ

ด้วยความที่ต้องนึกถึงประสิทธิภาพของการใช้งานโดยเฉพาะด้านการจัดการด้านพลังงานซึ่งเป็นเรื่องใหญ่ในอุปกรณ์พกพา มันก็น่าจะทำให้ Google ตัดสินใจไม่ดำเนินตามแนวทางแบบ PC มั้งครับ

ถ้าเป็น pure ผมเห็นด้วยครับ ซึ่งกูเกิลก็ดูพยายามแยกโมดูลออกมาเป็นแอปแยกอยู่

แต่ถ้ารอมของแต่ละเจ้า อันนี้น่าจะของใครของมันแล้วละครับ

งั้นแนวทางเดียวกัน ก็ให้แต่ละเจ้าออกเป็นAppของใครของมัน
แต่ที่สำคัญ Google ต้องบังคับให้ผู้จำหน่ายมีupdateด้วยไม่ใช่ขายทิ้ง ผู้จำหน่ายก็ไปบีบผู้ผลิตอีกที

แต่คงหนีไปรอมโมอีก
