ข่าวสั้นครับ สำหรับใครที่ใช้ App Engine ฝากแอพที่เป็น PHP ทางทีม App Engine จะอัพเกรดตัวรันไทม์ให้เป็นรุ่น 5.5 ภายใน 2 สัปดาห์นี้ครับ

เท่าที่ผมเช็คดู PHP 5.5 มีความเข้ากันได้กับรุ่นก่อนหน้าค่อนข้างสูงมาก หากเขียนแอพที่ใช้ได้บน 5.4 อยู่แล้วก็แทบไม่ต้องเปลี่ยนอะไรเลย แต่ถ้ายังต้องการใช้ 5.4 ต่อไป ก็สามารถยื่นแบบฟอร์มขอต่ออายุการใช้งานได้ครับ

Dear App Engine developer,

You are receiving this important update because you are an owner or developer of a Google App Engine project that uses PHP 5.4, and that project has received traffic in the last 30 days. As described in our previous email, and on our forum post, in approximately 2 weeks we will begin automatically migrating your application over to use the PHP 5.5 runtime.

While most applications will be unaffected by this update we strongly recommend first testing your application under PHP 5.5 to make sure there are no incompatibilities. Instructions for doing so are described in the forum post.

For any other issues, you can find help on the Google App Engine Stack Overflow Tag, or if you have a support package you may open a support ticket. If you’ve found an issue with App Engine itself you may also file a bug on our public issue tracker.

In some exceptional cases, if you are experiencing difficulty running your application under PHP 5.5 and your application has billing enabled, you may request an extension to continue using PHP 5.4 for a limited time using this form.
