ล้ำไปอีกขั้นกับ StreetView ในศูนย์ข้อมูลของกูเกิล!

ถึงแม้ว่ากูเกิลจะไม่ค่อยเปิดเผยข้อมูลรายละเอียดภายในศูนย์ข้อมูลของตนมากนัก แต่ก่อนหน้านี้กูเกิลได้เคยเปิดเผยข้อมูล พร้อมกับรูปบางส่วนภายในศูนย์ข้อมูลมาเป็นระยะๆ (ดูข่าวเก่า [1], [2], [3], [4]) คราวนี้กูเกิลเอาใหญ่ครับ ด้วยการทำ Street View ภายในศูนย์ข้อมูลของตัวเองเลย!

ครั้งนี้คงเป็นครั้งแรกของโลกที่เราสามารถ "เดินชม" ภายในศูนย์ข้อมูลของเว็บไซต์ที่ใครๆ ก็ใช้งานอย่างเช่นกูเกิล ถึงแม้ว่าเราจะยังไม่สามารถเดินชมได้ทุกซอกทุกมุมก็ตาม แต่ก็พอจะช่วยให้มองเห็นภาพรวมของศูนย์ข้อมูลของเว็บไซต์ระดับโลกรายนี้ได้ ทั้งนี้ภาพดังกล่าวถูกถ่ายมาจากศูนย์ข้อมูลของกูเกิลที่เมือง Lenoir รัฐ North Carolina ครับ

ไปเที่ยวชมศูนย์ข้อมูลกันได้ตามที่มา และวีดีโอหลังเบรกครับ

ไม่ใช่ครับ ที่ทำความเย็นจริงคือ Chiller ส่วน Cooling Towerใช้ระบายความร้อน Compressor ของ Chiller อีกที

คำถามครับ

การถ่ายภาพภายใน Data Center แบบนี้มีผลเสียอะไรกับตัวบริษัทรึเปล่าครับ เช่น ล่วงรู้ความลับทางด้านวิศวกรรม,การออกแบบ Data Center, การจัดวาง Server, Hardware ที่ใช้ หรืออะไรเทือกนี้

คือผมไม่ค่อยเห็นใครออกมาโชว์กันหมดเปลือกขนาดนี้ ก็เลยสงสัยว่ามันมีอะไรที่เป็นความลับรึเปล่าครับ

เดินได้นิดเดียวเองครับ เข้าไปในโซนหลักของ data center ไม่ได้ด้วยซ้ำ เดินผ่านได้แค่ห้อง network
