แอปเปิลเปิดตัว OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion อย่างเป็นทางการ ขายจริงเดือนกรกฎาคม

หลังจากปล่อย OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion รุ่นสำหรับนักพัฒนาไปเมื่อเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ ในงาน WWDC ครั้งนี้แอปเปิลจึงเปิดตัวระบบปฏิบัติการใหม่สำหรับเครื่องแมคในอนาคตอย่างเป็นทางการแล้ว โดยฟีเจอร์ที่เพิ่มขึ้นมาจากรุ่นก่อนหน้าอย่าง Lion ได้แก่ iCloud, Messages, Reminder, Game Center, AirPlay Mirroring และ Notification Center รวมถึงการเชื่อมโยงกับอุปกรณ์ที่ใช้ iOS ด้วย

สำหรับรุ่นจริงมีการเพิ่มฟีเจอร์เข้ามาอีก แบ่งเป็นข้อให้อ่านง่าย ได้ดังนี้ครับ

  • เพิ่มการเชื่อมโยงแอพเข้ากับ iCloud ได้ดีขึ้น
  • เปิดตัวแอพพื้นฐานใหม่สามตัว Messages, Reminders และ Notes แน่นอนว่าเชื่อมต่อกับ iCloud ได้
  • ระบบ Banner and alerts สำหรับแจ้งเตือนจากแอพต่างๆ (มันคือ Notification Center บ้างก็บอกว่าเหมือน Growl) มีปุ่มสำหรับปิดได้ไปจนถึงพรุ่งนี้ด้วย
  • ระบบ Dictation ใหม่ที่ใช้งานได้แทบทุกแอพ
  • ปุ่มแชร์ ทำงานคล้ายกับปุ่มทวีตที่มีอยู่ก่อนหน้า แต่หลากหลายกว่าเพราะแชร์ออกไปได้ทั้งอีเมล, Messages, Air Drop, Twitter และ Flickr
  • Safari ตัวใหม่เคลมว่ารันจาวาสคริปได้ไวที่สุด (ที่สองเป็น IE9)
  • ระบบซิงก์ bookmarks และ history ในชื่อ iCloud Tabs
  • Power Nap แอพสำหรับทำงานบางอย่าง เช่นแบคอัพระบบ ในระหว่างที่ไม่ใช้งานเครื่อง (ใช้ได้กับ MacBook รุ่นใหม่ และ MacBook Air เท่านั้น)
  • รองรับการใช้งานในจีนมากขึ้น ด้วยการ input ด้วยภาษาจีน, พจนานุกรมภาษาจีน และรองรับการค้นหาผ่าน Baidu ใน Safari
  • อินทิเกรทเข้ากับ Facebook แล้ว ทำงานใกล้เคียงกับที่เคยอินทิเกรทเข้ากับ Twitter ก่อนหน้านี้ (แต่จะเป็นอัพเดตตามมาทีหลัง)

สำหรับ Mountain Lion จะเริ่มวางขายผ่าน Mac App Store ในเดือนกรกฎาคมนี้ ด้วยราคา 19.99 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐฯ ส่วนใครที่เป็นนักพัฒนาสามารถดาวน์โหลดรุ่นทดสอบได้แล้ววันนี้

ถูกครับ Apple ไม่ได้ขายเป็นแผ่นนานแล้ว แต่ใช้วิธี preload ลงในเครื่องที่ขายเลย แล้วฝังเอา recovery partition เอาไว้ส่วนนึงให้สามารถ reload มาจาก app store ได้เวลาอยากจะลง OS ใหม่

กำลังจะถามว่าอัพจาก Snow Leopard ไป Mountain Lion ได้เลยหรือเปล่าครับ
หรือว่าต้องตามลำดับคือ ต้องอัพ Lion ก่อน แล้วค่อยตามด้วย Mountain Lion ครับ

แบบนี้คนที่เสียเงินอัพจาก Snow Leopard เป็น Lion ก่อนหน้าก็เสียเปรียบหรือเปล่าครับ เพราะต้องมาเสียเงิน 2 ครั้ง (ไม่นับพวกที่กำลังจะซื้อเครื่องใหม่ตอนนี้)
