กสทช. สหรัฐ สั่งโอเปอเรเตอร์บล็อค SMS จากเบอร์ที่ไม่ใช้งานแล้ว แก้ปัญหา SMS หลอกลวง

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) หรือ กสทช. สหรัฐ ออกคำสั่งให้โอเปอเรเตอร์ในสหรัฐบล็อคการส่งข้อความ SMS จากเบอร์โทรศัพท์ที่ไม่ถูกใช้งาน เพื่อแก้ปัญหาการส่งข้อความหลอกลวง (scam) ที่เติบโตขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ในสหรัฐเช่นกัน

สถิติของ FCC บอกว่าได้รับคำร้องเรียนเรื่อง SMS scam เพิ่มขึ้นถึง 500% ในรอบ 7 ปีที่ผ่านมา (2015-2022) ซึ่งข้อความเหล่านี้มักใส่ลิงก์เว็บหลอกลวงต่างๆ ที่สร้างความเสียหายให้ผู้บริโภค

คำสั่งของ FCC ระบุว่าเบอร์โทรศัพท์ที่มีโอกาสส่งข้อความน้อย เช่น เบอร์ที่ไม่เคยส่งข้อความเลย, เบอร์ของหน่วยงานภาครัฐที่ไม่ควรจะส่งข้อความหาใคร, เบอร์ที่ไม่ถูกใช้งานแล้ว, เบอร์ที่ไม่เคยถูกนำมาจัดสรรมาก่อน จะต้องถูกบล็อคโดยโอเปอเรเตอร์

ก่อนหน้านี้ รัฐบาลสิงคโปร์ก็มีคำสั่งคล้ายๆ กัน แม้ไม่เหมือนกันซะทีเดียว คือบังคับให้องค์กรต่างๆ ต้อง "ลงทะเบียนชื่อผู้ส่ง" (SSIR) ไม่อย่างนั้นโอเปอเรเตอร์จะต้องแสดงข้อความว่าเป็นชื่อต้องสงสัย เพื่อแก้ปัญหา SMS scam ปลอมเป็นหน่วยงานที่มีชื่อเสียงไปหลอกลวงผู้บริโภค

ต้องลงทะเบียนชื่อผู้ส่งและรูปแบบข้อความกับ operator ครับ

แต่เอาเข้าจริง น่าจะกรองแค่ชื่อนะ ข้อความไม่ได้กรอง แต่เป็นข้อมูลตัวอย่างในขั้นตอนการลงทะเบียน

เลยจะเจอว่า scam ใช้เบอร์จริง ๆ ส่งเอาเลย
หรืออาจจะเป็น iMessage แทน

ของไทย เบอร์ที่ ไม่ได้ลงทะเบียน จะใช้งานไม่ได้

การที่ อเมริกา ประกาศแบบนี้ แสดงว่า ที่โน่น ซื้อ sim มาใช้ได้เลย

หรือแม้แต่เกาหลี มีเบอร์ที่ใช้แล้วทิ้ง ก็สามารถเอาเบอร์ไปหลอกลวงได้ (เคยดูในหนัง)
