สงคราม search engine ผนวกแชทบ็อตกำลังร้อนแรงขึ้นเรื่อยๆ นอกจาก Bing พลัง OpenAI และ Google Bard ที่เป็นยักษ์ใหญ่ของวงการแล้ว ล่าสุดมีบริการ search + chat เข้าสู่สนามอีกรายคือ You.com

You.com เป็น search engine ที่เปิดบริการตั้งแต่ปลายปี 2021 และเน้นการสรุปเนื้อหาจากเว็บไซต์ต่างๆ มาตั้งแต่แรก บริษัทเคยเปิดตัว YouChat บริการแชทบ็อตพลัง AI มาก่อนแล้วตั้งแต่ปลายปี 2022 และล่าสุดคือออก YouChat เวอร์ชัน 2.0 ที่เก่งขึ้น ที่สำคัญคือเปิดให้ทุกคนใช้งานแชทได้แล้วโดยไม่ต้องรอคิว

แนวคิดของ You.com คือการผสมผสานแชท ลิงก์ และแอพประเภทต่างๆ (เช่น ชาร์ท วิดีโอ ตาราง โค้ด สภาพอากาศ Reddit Wikipedia StackOverflow LinkedIn) ไว้ในหน้าเดียวกัน นอกจากนี้ยังมีจุดเด่นคือตอบคำถามเหตุการณ์ปัจจุบันได้

Richard Socher ผู้ร่วมก่อตั้งและซีอีโอของ You.com เคยเป็นหัวหน้านักวิจัยของ Salesforce และเชี่ยวชาญด้าน natural language processing (NLP) โดยเขามองว่าการแชทจะเป็นตัวเปลี่ยนเกมของวงการ search และกูเกิลจะปรับตัวช้า เพราะกลัวทำลายอาณาจักรโฆษณามูลค่ามหาศาลของตัวเอง
