ไมโครซอฟท์ออกแอพ Remote Desktop ตัวใหม่สำหรับ Android, รองรับ Android TV แล้ว

ไมโครซอฟท์ปล่อยแอพ Remote Desktop เวอร์ชั่นใหม่สำหรับอุปกรณ์ Android โดยได้เปิดให้ดาวน์โหลดผ่าน Google Play เป็นแอพตัวใหม่แยกต่างหากจากเวอร์ชันเก่า

ตัวแอพสำหรับ Android เวอร์ชันล่าสุด ได้รับการพัฒนาขึ้นมาใหม่โดยได้เปลี่ยนแกนหลักของ RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) ไปใช้เอนจินเดียวกันกับแอพ Remote Desktop บน iOS และ macOS ซึ่งก็น่าจะช่วยให้แอพฝั่ง Android ได้รับฟีเจอร์ใหม่พร้อมๆ กันกับระบบปฏิบัติการอื่น (หรืออย่างน้อยก็น่าจะได้อัพเดตฟีเจอร์เร็วขึ้น)

ส่วนฟีเจอร์ใหม่ในแอพ Remote Desktop เวอร์ชันล่าสุด นอกเหนือจากการปรับปรุง UI พอสรุปได้ดังนี้

  • รองรับการใช้บริการ Windows Virtual Desktop เต็มรูปแบบ
  • สามารถใช้งานร่วมกับแอพ Microsoft Authenticator เพื่อตรวจสอบสิทธิเข้าใช้งาน Windows Virtual Desktop
  • รองรับการใช้งานบน Android TV

สำหรับผู้ที่เคยใช้งานแอพ Remote Desktop เวอร์ชันเก่า (หรือ Remote Desktop 8 ตามชื่อที่ถูกเปลี่ยนบน Google Play) สามารถนำข้อมูลการเชื่อมต่อที่บันทึกไว้เดิมเข้าแอพ Remote Desktop เวอร์ชันใหม่ได้ผ่านเมนู Settings > General > Transfer settings ครับ
