Microsoft Surface

ก่อนหน้านี้มี ข่าวลือของอุปกรณ์รหัส Andromeda จากไมโครซอฟท์ ออกมาเป็นพักๆ ล่าสุดเว็บไซต์ The Verge อ้างว่าได้เอกสารภายในของไมโครซอฟท์ที่หลุดออกมา พบว่ามันคืออุปกรณ์ Surface แบบพกพาที่พับจอได้

Andromeda ยังมีสถานะเป็นโครงการทดลองภายในบริษัท ที่อาจจะออกหรือไม่ออกเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์จริงก็ได้ มันถือเป็นอุปกรณ์ชนิดใหม่ที่เป็นลูกผสมระหว่างพีซีกับอุปกรณ์พกพา ไมโครซอฟท์ใช้คำว่า pocketable Surface device และบอกว่ามันเป็นอุปกรณ์ "ส่วนตัว" ที่ตอบโจทย์การใช้งานหลากหลาย

ตามข่าวบอกว่ามันใช้จอภาพแบบโค้งบริเวณฝาพับ สามารถกางออกมาเป็นได้เหมือนสมุด มีปากกาให้ใช้งาน และมีแอพด้านจดโน้ตมาให้ด้วย อุปกรณ์ต้นแบบใช้ซีพียู ARM แต่ยังไม่ชัดเจนว่าถ้าออกเป็นสินค้าจริงจะเปลี่ยนมาเป็น x86 หรือไม่

ก่อนหน้านี้ ไมโครซอฟท์เคยมีโครงการ Surface Mini ที่ได้รับการยืนยันว่ายกเลิกไป แต่ก็เคยมีภาพหลุดออกมาบ้าง

ถ้าดูข่าวลือเรื่อง OS มาบวกข่าวลือด้าน HW แสดงว่า Microsoft กำลังเตรียมทำอะไรบางอย่างอยู่แน่ๆ ส่วนตัวมองว่าอุปกรณ์ Hybrid ระหว่างมือถือ กับ Desktop มาแน่ แต่ไว้ใจ MS แพงหูฉี่ น่าจะมาแนวเดียวกับ Surface จับตลาดองค์กร กับคนชอบความสดใหม่ มากกว่า Consumer ดังนั้นราคาหายห่วง กำไว้สัก
