ต่อเวลาความสนุกกับ Windows 8 Developer Preview

หลังจากที่ทางไมโครซอฟท์ได้ประกาศผ่านทางบล็อก Building Windows 8 ข่าวเก่า ว่าจะปล่อย Windows 8 Beta ในสิ้นเดือนนี้ ทำให้หลายคนในที่นี้ตื่นเต้นไม่ใช่น้อย สำหรับคนที่ใจร้อนก็ได้ดาวน์โหลด Windows 8 Developer Preview มาลิ้มลองกันบ้างแล้ว

ใครที่ลองอัพเดตจาก Windows Update ก็จะพบว่ามีอัพเดตรายการใหม่ KB2671501 สำหรับต่อเวลาความสนุกใน Windows 8 Developer Preview ที่จะหมดอายุในวันที่ 11 มีนาคม 2555 และ Server Developer Preview จะหมดอายุในวันที่ 8 เมษายน 2555 ที่จะถึงนี้ ไปเป็นวันที่ 15 มกราคม 2556

หากผู้ใช้ Windows 8 Preview ไม่ติดตั้งอัพเดตรายการนี้ก่อนวันหมดอายุที่กำหนดไว้แล้ว วินโดวส์จะรีสตาร์ททุก 2 ชั่วโมง และมีข้อความเตือนต่างๆ โดยดูจากลิงก์รายละเอียดของอัพเดตนี้

หลังลงอัพเดทนี้ไปแล้ว

หลังลงอัพเดทนี้ไปแล้ว สามารถดูวันหมดอายุได้จาก Win+R (run) พิมพ์ winver แล้วกด Enter ได้ผลดังนี้ สามารถใช้ได้ถึงวันที่ 16 มกราคม 2556 ก่อน 7 โมงเช้า ตามเวลาประเทศไทย

หลังจากใช้มา 3 วัน เริ่มคุ้นเคย โดยมีประสบการณ์การใช้งานดังนี้
-ผมติดตั้งจาก USB โดยใช้โปรแกรม Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool มี BlueScreen ตอนบูตตัวติดตั้ง แต่พยายามหลายครั้ง ก็บูตติดและติดตั้งได้
-เปิด/ปิด เครื่องได้เร็วจริงๆ ว่าจะเปรียบเทียบโดยใช้ โปรแกรม Windows Uptime แต่ยังไม่ได้เปลี่ยนให้แสดง UI เป็นแบบธรรมดาแทนแบบ Metro แต่สำหรับ Windows 7 ตอนดิสก์ใกล้เต็ม รกๆ uptime อยู่ที่ประมาณ 1 นาทีกว่า
-ปิดโปรแกรมได้เร็ว จนสัมผัสได้ จาก Win 7 จะปิดหน้าต่างโปรแกรมตอนที่คืนหน่วยความจำเกือบเสร็จ แต่สำหรับ Preview ตัวนี้ปิดหน้าต่างไปเร็วกว่า
-ยอมรับว่ามีบั๊กเยอะจริงๆ แต่ก็เอามาลองให้คุ้นมือ ลองรุ่นเบต้า เพราะเคยเจอเหตุการณ์ที่ว่า ตอนจะเปลี่ยนจาก Windows XP เป็น 7 ตัวเองทำเป็นบ่นว่า 7 ไม่ดีอย่างโน้นอย่างนี้ แต่มาใช้เข้าจริง ติดงอมแงม
-ยังมีปัญหาเรื่องไดร์ฟเวอร์ HP910 printer จากที่เคยใช้ เสียบแล้วใช้ได้เลย ตัว Preview นี้ลงไดร์ฟเวอร์ให้ แต่ใช้ printer ไม่ได้ แล้ว Scanner BearPaw 1200CS ที่บริษัทผู้ผลิต ไม่ทำ ไดร์ฟเวอร์สำหรับ Win 7 ไว้ให้ เลยไม่ได้ใช้

อัพเดท -> อัพเดต; "วินโดวส์ 8 Preview" และ "วินโดวส์ 8 Developer Preview" -> "Windows 8 Developer Preview"

้เพราะลบทิ้งไปตั้งแต่
เล่นยังไม่ครบ 2 เดือน
ส่วน MetroUI นี่
ผมทนมันได้ไม่ถึงอาทิตย์
ไม่แปลกใจว่าทำไมหลายคน
ถึงต้องหาโปรแกรมมากำจัดมันออก

ผมลบทิ้งตั้งแต่ยังไม่ครบ 2 สัปดาห์ครับ 555 บั๊กมันเยอะไปหน่อย ขี้เกียจตั้งค่าด้วย ก็เลยดึง Windows 7 กลับมาจาก backup

ส่วน MetroUI นี่ผมใช้คล่องไปตั้งแต่เช้าแรกแล้ว ลงหลังเที่ยงคืน ตอนเช้าเอามาใช้เข้าห้องสอบสบาย
