โปรแกรมแบ็คอัพผ่านอินเทอร์เน็ตยอดนิยมอย่าง Dropbox เดินทางมาถึงเวอร์ชัน 1.0 แล้ว ฟีเจอร์สำคัญของรุ่นนี้คือ Selective Sync ซึ่งเลือกได้ว่าจะซิงค์เฉพาะไฟล์ไหนบ้าง เหมาะสำหรับคนที่มีคอมพิวเตอร์ที่พื้นที่เก็บข้อมูลไม่มากนัก หรือคนที่แยกหมวดไฟล์งานกับไฟล์ส่วนตัวออกจากกัน (แต่ต้องการแบ็คอัพด้วย Dropbox เหมือนกัน)

ฟีเจอร์อื่นได้แก่การปรับปรุงประสิทธิภาพ ซึ่งลดการใช้หน่วยความจำลงสูงสุด 50% และปรับปรุงการซิงค์ไฟล์ Resources ของแมค

ผมเข้าใจว่า Dropbox อัพเดตตัวเองอัตโนมัติได้เลยนะครับ ใครที่ใช้อยู่ก็ไม่ต้องทำอะไรเพิ่มเป็นพิเศษ

ความสามารถนี้แหละที่รอคอย ไปลองใช้ Windows Live Mesh แล้ว ดีมาก ๆ เสียอย่างเดียว มันทำอะไรของมันอยู่นานสองนาน ทั้ง ๆ ที่ไฟล์ที่ sync นั้นเล็กมาก ๆ แต่กลับใช้เวลานาน และทำให้เน็ตช้าลงอย่างมากตอน sync แม้ว่าจะไฟล์เล็กก็ตาม นอกนั้นดีหมด อยากให้แก้ไขตรงนี้มาก ๆ เพราะอย่างไงก็ใช้ MSN อยู่แล้ว เพื่อนก็ใช้กันหมด มันจะได้เข้ากันกับระบบอื่น ๆ

Dropbox มีตรงนี้ก็ดีเหมือนกัน เพราะ Dropbox มันเป็น Direct Link ถึงตัวไฟล์เลย แชร์ให้กับใครได้ง่าย สะดวกมาก ๆ

ใช่ครับ เพราะ Dropbox เป็น direct link ได้ ผมก็เลยใช้เป็นที่เก็บไฟล์ไว้แจกจ่ายโปรแกรมให้โหลดกันด้วย

พออัพเดทแล้วมีอะไรให้ตั้งค่าเยอะกว่าเดิมพอสมควรครับ เช่น

กำหนด bandwidth ได้ ทั้งการ upload/download
สั่ง pause การ sync ได้

(จากเดิมมีอยู่แค่ 2 tab ตอนนี้กลายเป็น 5 tab ไปแล้ว)

ผมใช้บน Windows ตอนแรกก็ใช้ 0.7 พอเห็นว่ามี update ก็เลยโหลดจาก filehippo มาลง ตอนนี้มันเป็น 1.0.10 อะครับ อัปทั้งๆ ที่ไม่รู้ว่ามันมีอะไรใหม่ เพราะ change log ใน filehippo ก็ไม่มีบอกไว้ พึ่งมาเห็นข่าวในนี้นี่ล่ะ เดี๋ยวต้องไปลองๆ ฟังชั่นใหม่ซะหน่อย ^^
