โครงการ Ubuntu GNOME ประกาศออกรุ่น 17.04 โดยใช้ GNOME 3.24 รุ่นล่าสุด พร้อมประกาศทิศทางในอนาคตว่าจะไปรวมกับ Ubuntu ตัวหลักแล้ว

ทีมงาน Ubuntu GNOME และ Ubuntu Desktop (Unity) จะถูกรวมเข้าเป็นทีมเดียวกัน ตอนนี้ทางทีม Ubuntu GNOME กำลังวางแผนการทำงานกับทีมฝั่ง Canonical อยู่ว่าจะทำอะไรในช่วงไหน และจะประกาศข่าวต่อไป

ผู้ที่ใช้ Ubuntu 16.04 LTS หรือ Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 LTS จะได้อัพเกรดเป็น Ubuntu 18.04 LTS ทีเดียวเลยในปีหน้า ถือเป็นจุดสิ้นสุดของการแยกดิสโทรสองสายนั่นเอง

อ่านแล้ว .. ดู ๆ ทีม Ubuntu GNOME ดี๊ด๊ากันใหญ่

ส่วนตัว ตอนนี้อพยพมา Debian Testing แล้วครับ ลอง 17.04 GNOME แล้ว ไม่ลื่นเลย ไม่รู้ทำไม อาจจะเป็นเพราะ Packages GNOME ใหม่กว่าของ Debian ด้วยมั้งครับ เพิ่งสลับมาเมื่อสักครู่ใหญ่ ๆ นี่เอง

ขอนอกประเด็น Ubuntu นิดครับ Fedora 25 ใช้ gksu ไม่ได้ทำไงดีมี workaround ไหม

ตั้งแต่ F22 ถึง F25 ผมเจออะไรจุกจิกติดขัดเยอะแยะเลยครับ หลายเรื่องทางผมก็ยังหาทาง Workaround ไม่ได้เลย
ไหนจะทั้ง KDE dbus Wayland ฯลฯ ผมสรุปว่า มี Package จำนวนมากกำลังอยู่ในช่วง Minor change อยู่ จึงปัญหาเยอะ
ในบริษัทผม เครื่องใช้ทำงานทั่วไปทั้งหมด ให้ค้างไว้ที่ F21 ก่อน ยกเว้นใน R&D เท่านั้น ที่อนุญาตให้ปล้ำ F22 ถึง F25 ได้

ตอนนี้ disable Wayland กลับไป xorg เรียบร้อยละครับ เผลอหลับไปแป๊บนึง คิดวิธีได้เลย เหมือนมีใครมากระซิบ เอาจริงๆ มันก็แค่ปลายจมูกแต่ลืมนึกถึง
