Garmin ถือโอกาสงาน CES 2017 ประกาศเปิดตัวนาฬิกาข้อมือสำหรับคนรักสุขภาพรุ่นใหม่ในชื่อรุ่น Fenix 5 อัพเกรดจาก Fenix 3 ที่ทำตลาดอยู่พักใหญ่ แยกเป็นสามรุ่นย่อยตามสเปคและขนาดหน้าปัดคือ Fenix 5S (สำหรับผู้หญิงข้อมือเล็ก), Fenix 5 (รุ่นปกติ) และ Fenix 5X (รุ่นใหญ่สุด มีระบบแผนที่เก็บและนำเส้นทาง) ตัวกระจกมีให้เลือกทั้งแบบธรรมดาและกระจกแซฟไฟร์ ราคาเริ่มต้นที่ 599.99 เหรียญสหรัฐฯ (ประมาณ 21,500 บาท)

ความแตกต่างที่ดีกว่ารุ่นเดิม คือ จอภาพแสดงสีได้มากขึ้นเป็น 64 สี (จาก 16) จอละเอียดขึ้นเป็น 240x240px (จากเดิม 218x218) รองรับภาษาอาหรับ ฮีบรู และอีโมจิ รุ่นกระจกแซฟไฟร์รองรับไวไฟ และมี gyroscope มาให้ในทุกรุ่น แบตเตอรี่ใช้งานได้สูงสุด 2 สัปดาห์ (ถ้าเปิด GPS จะใช้ได้สั้นกว่านี้) ส่วนฟังก์ชั่นแผนที่ใน Fenix 5X ทำได้ทั้งการดูแผนที่ นำทางจากไฟล์ที่ใส่เข้าไป ตลอดจนแสดง POI ของสถานที่สำคัญโดยรอบด้วย

Oh, one last thing. Wondering why there’s not a Fenix4? That’s because the phonetic pronunciation of that in Chinese roughly translates to ‘fast rise to quick death’. Not exactly the starting point Garmin wanted to begin with.

สมัยก่อนอยากให้มันมี Wi-Fi ในตัวมากเลยครับกลับมาห้องจะได้อัปเองได้ไม่ต้องต่อคอม แต่พอเดี๋ยวนี้มันอัปออโต้ผ่านมือถือได้แล้วนี่เลยเฉยๆ ไม่แน่ใจมีทีเด็ดอะไรรึเปล่า

The fēnix 5 can get up to two weeks of battery life in smartwatch mode and 24 hours in GPS mode. The fēnix 5X can get up to 12 days of battery life in smartwatch mode and 20 hours in GPS mode. The fēnix 5S can get up to eight days in smartwartch mode and up to 13 hours in GPS mode.
