LINE ประกาศเปิดใช้งานฟีเจอร์ "Letter Sealing" ซึ่งเป็นการเข้ารหัสแบบปลายทางถึงปลายทาง (end-to-end encryption) เป็นค่าเริ่มต้นให้กับผู้ใช้ทุกคน และยกเลิกฟีเจอร์ Hidden Chat โดยให้มาใช้ Letter Sealing แทน

การเปลี่ยนแปลงมีผลตั้งแต่วันนี้ (1 ก.ค.) เป็นต้นไปครับ

ไปดู conversation เก่าที่เคย Hidden Chat ไว้ ใช้ไม่ได้เลยครับ

คือกด คุยไม่ได้ ส่งสติกเกอร์ไม่ได้ แต่ กด setting เกี่ยวกับห้อง Chat ได้อยู่ ตั้งเวลาได้ บล็อคได้ ปิด Noti ได้

เดาว่า ที่ถอด hidden chat ออก
คงเป็นเพราะแนวคิดระบบต่างกัน
hidden chat น่าจะยังส่งข้อความไปที่ server line อยู่

แต่ end-to-end คือ server line ทำแค่ sync IP ของอีกฝ่าย
ส่วนข้อความ ก็ encrypt+ส่งตรงกันเอง ไม่ผ่าน server line

แล้วจะมีปัญหาต้องเปิดกันทั้ง 2 เครื่องถึงจะส่งกันได้??

ถ้าเราส่ง อีกฝ่ายไม่เปิดเครื่อง - ยังส่งไม่ได้
พอเราปิดเครื่อง อีกฝ่ายดันเปิด - อีกฝ่ายก็ไม่ได้รับ

เข้าใจผิดแล้วครับ เค้าหมายถึง end-to-end encryption เป็นการเข้ารหัสตั้งแต่ต้นทาง ส่งไป server และจาก server ส่งไปปลายทาง สุดท้ายปลายทางค่อยแกะครับ ไม่ใช่การส่งตรงจากต้นทางไปปลายทางไม่ผ่าน server ครับ
