Facebook แบนบัญชีของวิศวกรหญิงชื่อ Isis แม้จะเป็นชื่อจริงก็ตาม

วิศวกรหญิงในซานฟรานซิสโกชื่อ Isis Anchalee ระบุว่าเธอถูก Facebook แบนบัญชี ด้วยเหตุผลเรื่องชื่อของเธอไปสอดคล้องกับกลุ่มติดอาวุธ ISIS ในตะวันออกกลาง

ปัญหานี้เกิดจาก "นโยบายชื่อจริง" เจ้าปัญหาของ Facebook ที่เกิดประเด็นแบบนี้มาหลายรอบ และกระบวนการตรวจสอบชื่อของ Facebook ก็ดูจะไม่ได้ผลนัก ถึงแม้ Isis ได้ส่งสำเนาพาสปอร์ตไปให้ Facebook เพื่อระบุว่าเธอชื่อนี้จริงๆ แต่ก็ไม่เกิดผล จนกระทั่งเธอส่งหลักฐานไปรอบที่สาม Facebook ถึงยอมปลดล็อคบัญชีให้

Omid Farivar นักวิจัยของ Facebook ส่งข้อความขอโทษ Isis โดยระบุว่าเขาไม่ทราบสาเหตุของปัญหา แต่ก็ส่งเรื่องไปยังผู้รับผิดชอบให้แล้ว และบริษัทกำลังพยายามแก้ไขเรื่องนี้อยู่

ชื่อ Isis เป็นชื่อที่มีความหมาย โดยเป็นชื่อของเทพีของอียิปต์โบราณ โดยเป็นเทพีแห่งบัลลังก์ และเป็นภรรยาของเทพ Osiris

นโยบายให้ใช้ชื่อจริง เป็นอีกหนึ่งนโยบายที่สร้างความน่าเชื่อถือให้แก่ผู้ใช้หลายคน และก็ถือว่าเป็นการทำลายความเป็นส่วนตัวของผู้ใช้อีกหลายคน จากประสบการณ์ของผม มีผู้ใช้ที่ไม่อยากใช้ชื่อจริงเพียงเพราะไม่ต้องการจะให้มีคนรู้จักตัวตน และบุคคลแบบนี้มีค่อนข้างเยอะมาก

นโยบายพวกนี้มันป้องกันอะไรไม่ได้หรอก รังแต่จะทำให้เกิดผลกระทบกับผู้ใช้ทั่วไป

แล้วก็ไอ้การตั้ง username ได้ครั้งเดียวนี่ก็เหมือนกัน ทุกวันนี้ facebook url ผมเป็นตัวเลขยาวๆ มาปีกว่าแล้ว

แล้วถ้าใช้ username ซ้ำกันได้ มันจะไม่เป็นปัญหาเหรอครับ เช่น www.facebook.com/thisismyname ระบบมันจะรู้ได้ไงว่าใครเป็นใคร

ผมไม่ได้บอกว่าต้องการให้ตั้ง username ซ้ำกันได้นี่ครับ ผมต้องการให้เปลี่ยน username ได้มากกว่าหนึ่งครั้ง (จะเปลี่ยนเป็นอะไรก็ตามใจที่ไม่ไปซ้ำกับชาวบ้านเขา)

ของผมนี่โดนล็อกไม่ให้ตั้ง username อ้ะ ใจร้ายฝุดๆ
