Canon เปิดตัว EOS 5DS และ 5DS R ฟูลเฟรมความละเอียด 50.6 ล้านพิกเซล

Canon เปิดตัวกล้องใหม่อีก 2 รุ่นคือ EOS 5DS และ EOS 5DS R โดย Canon กล่าวว่าทั้งสองรุ่นเป็นกล้องฟูลเฟรมความละเอียดสูงที่สุดในโลกที่ 50.6 ล้านพิกเซล เพื่ออัดภาพขนาดใหญ่และครอปภาพได้ง่าย โดยส่วนที่แตกต่างกันของกล้องทั้งสองคือ 5DS R จะไม่มี low-pass filter

กล้องทั้งสองรุ่นมีจุดโฟกัสทั้งหมด 61 จุด เป็น cross-type จำนวน 41 จุด พร้อมระบบติดตามวัตถุ EOS iTR AF และ EOS Scene Detection ส่วนโครงสร้างตัวกล้องถูกออกแบบให้คงทนมากขึ้น

กระจกถูกออกแบบใหม่ให้ลดการสั่นจากการดีด และเพิ่มระบบ Arbitrary Release Time Lag Setting ในโหมดล็อคกระจก จากปกติจะต้องกดชัตเตอร์ 1 ครั้งเพื่อล็อคกระจก และกดอีกครั้งเพื่อปล่อยกระจก เป็นการเปิดให้ตั้งเวลายกกระจกและปล่อยลงเองอัตโนมัติ มีให้เลือกตั้งแต่ 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1 และ 2 วินาที

  • ชิพ Dual DIGIC 6
  • ISO 100-6400 (ขยายได้สูงสุด 12800)
  • โหมดครอปภาพตอนถ่าย 2 แบบคือ 30.5 ล้านพิกเซล (1.3x) และ 19.6 ล้านพิกเซล (1.6x)
  • Picture Style แบบใหม่เรียกว่า "Fine Detail" เพื่อเพิ่มความคมของไฟล์ JPEG และวิดีโอ พร้อมการตั้งค่าใหม่ 3 อย่างคือ Strength, Fineness และ Treshold
  • ระบบ advance AE เหมือน EOS 7D Mark II ที่สามารถจับและชดเชยแสงได้ดี
  • ระบบ Auto White Balance ใหม่ที่มี Ambient Priority และ White Priority
  • ช่องมองภาพความครอบคลุมพื้นที่ 100%
  • Customizable Quick Control ให้เอาการตั้งค่าที่ใช้บ่อยๆ มาไว้ในตำแหน่งที่ใช้สะดวกๆ
  • ถ่ายวิดีโอได้ที่ 1080p สูงสุด 30fps หรือ 720p สูงสุด 60fps
  • ระบบ time-lapse สำหรับวิดีโอ ตั้งหน่วงเวลาได้ตั้งแต่ 1 วินาทีจนไปถึง 99 ชั่วโมง 59 นาที 59 วินาที
  • ถ่ายภาพได้ถึง 5 ภาพต่อวินาทีที่ความละเอียดเต็ม 50 ล้านพิกเซล
  • ช่องใส่การ์ด 2 ช่องสำหรับ SD รองรับมาตรฐาน UHS-1 และอีกช่องสำหรับ CF
  • มีความคงทนชัตเตอร์การันตีที่ 150,000 ครั้งเหมือน EOS 5D Mark III

สนนราคา EOS 5DS อยู่ที่ 3,699 ดอลลาร์ ส่วน EOS 5DS R อยู่ที่ 3,899 ดอลลาร์ (เฉพาะตัวกล้อง) ซึ่งจะเริ่มวางจำหน่ายในเดือนมิถุนายนนี้

ดูๆ แล้วไม่ใช้แค่ตบ D810 นะครับ อาจเลยไปยัง medium format ก็ได้สำหรับคนงบน้อยและไม่ซีเรียสมาก

ส่วน mark IV เห็นลือๆ กันว่ายังมีครับ
ซึ่งแหล่งข่าวที่ลือเรื่อง mark IV ก็แหล่งเดียวกับเรื่อง 5DS นี่แหละครับ สงสัยก็คงจริงมั้ง

บระเจ้า .. ราคาทะลุแสน คิวต่อไปจะเป็น Sony A7rII รึปล่าวนี่ เห็นการตั้งชื่อรุ่นนี่คุ้น ๆ ไหน ๆ ก็ช่วยกันทำ Sensor แล้ว ขอยืมแนวการตั้งชื่อมาด้วยเลยแล้วกัน

ทำไมถ่ายวีดีโอ 1080 ได้แค่ที่ 30p เอง
ขนาด D810 ยังมี 60p ให้เลือก
แม้กระทั่ง Pentax 645Z ก็ยังมี 60i
หรือว่าข้อมูลดิบบนเซนเซอร์ 50 ล้าน จะมหาศาลจน Dual DIGIC 6 รับไม่ไหว

edit. เพิ่งไปหาข้อมูลเพิ่ม 5D Mark III ก็ถ่ายได้เท่านี้เองนิหน่า

  2. สถาปัตยกรรมแบบเซ็นเซอร์ Canon ไม่เคย read ทั้งเฟรมได้ไวเท่าเซ็นเซอร์ Sony,Toshiba ในกล้อง Nikon, Sony อยู่แล้ว
  3. แคนอนคงยังอยากขายกล้องวิดีโอระดับโปรมั้งครับ

UPDATE มีแหล่งข่าวคอนเฟิร์มแล้วว่า Canon ผลิตเองครับ

Despite some rumors to the contrary, Westfall said the 50.6MP CMOS sensors in the 5DS and 5DS R are developed and produced by Canon

เซ็นเซอร์ตัวนี้แคนอน design และผลิตเอง โดยที่ dynamic range ที่ iso ต่ำจะยังไม่สามารถเทียบชั้นเซ็นเซอร์ Exmor แท้ๆของ Sony ได้เหมือนเดิม
ยืนยันโดย First Impression ของ Dpreview ครับ

As far as dynamic range is concerned, we're told that the new 5DS and 5DS R should give the same performance as the current EOS 5D Mark III. If true, this means that the new cameras won't be able to offer the same industry-leading dynamic range of Sony's current APS-C and full-frame sensors, but at least it isn't a step backwards. And hey - 50MP!

ผมเดาว่าสาเหตุที่ Canon ไม่เน้น video ที่กล้อง 5Ds น่าจะเป็นเพราะว่า การวาง product line ครับ คือชัดเจนว่า 5D Mark III เป็นกล้อง video ตัวเจ๋งของ Canon ดังนั้นกล้อง video ตัวถัดไปคือ 5D Mark IV ไม่ใช่ 5Ds ครับ และอีกอย่างคือ หากทำแล้วออกมาไม่ดีเค้าคงไม่อยากจะทำ เนื่องจากอาจทำให้ราคากล้องแพงขึ้น และ low light performance มันแย่ก็ได้ เพราะ 5D Mark III เค้าทำไว้ดีมากครับ

หากเอาทุกอย่างยัดลง 5Ds หมด รุ่นอื่นคงขายยากครับ ผมเดาว่าหลัก ๆ มาจาก marketing ล้วน ๆ ครับ เพื่อแบ่
segment ตลาดครับ
