บริษัท ComScore ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทสำรวจสถิติต่างๆ เกี่ยวกับเว็บ ได้เผยแพร่รายชื่อเว็บไซต์ตระกูล social network (แต่รวมถึงเว็บบล็อกและบริการอื่นที่มีฟีเจอร์ด้าน social ด้วย) เรียงตามจำนวนผู้เข้าชม (นับผู้เข้าชมจากทั่วโลก) ประจำเดือนพฤศจิกายน 2008

20 อันดับ (พร้อมจำนวนผู้ชม) มีดังนี้

ในเว็บที่มายังแสดงกราฟการเติบโตของเว็บไซต์ 5 อันดับแรกระหว่างปี 2007-2008 จะเห็นว่าสถิติช่วงปี 2007 Blogger นั้นทิ้งอันดับสองค่อนข้างขาด แต่ Facebook โตเร็วมากในครึ่งหลังของปี 2008 เว็บที่เหลือคือ MySpace กับ Wordpress นั้นโตขึ้นอย่างช้าๆ แต่ว่า Windows Live Spaces กลับมีผู้เข้าชมลดลง 22%

Twitter คนไม่ได้ใช้เยอะขนาดนั้นนะครับ แถมยังมีปัจจัยเรื่องคนส่วนใหญ่ใช้ผ่านโปรแกรม client อื่นๆ ไม่ได้เข้าผ่านหน้าเว็บโดยตรงมาเกี่ยวข้องด้วย

เอาง่ายๆ อันดับใน Alexa ของ iMeem อยู่ที่ 171 ส่วน Twitter อยู่อันดับ 624

ComScore ใช้วิธีวัดจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างครับ เห็นว่ามีประมาณ 2 ล้านคน มันจะคล้ายๆ กับ Alexa ที่เก็บสถิติจากคนที่ใช้ Alexa Toolbar
