Google พัฒนา Google Earth สำหรับ Mac OS X แล้ว

หลังจากไป Take over Keyhole เอามาปล่อยเป็น Google Earth ให้เราใช้ฟรีๆ บน Windows ให้ชาวแมคอิจฉาเล่นมาได้ครึ่งปีแล้ว

บัดนี้ ความอิจฉาใกล้จะสิ้นสุดลงแล้ว เพราะว่า Google ได้พัฒนา Google Earth สำหรับ Mac มาแล้ว (เย้)

แฟนแมคทั้งหลายที่ต้องทนไปใช้ WW2D ให้อืดเล่น กำลังจะได้เวลาเปลี่ยนแปลงแล้ว

Update: ผมได้ลองไปหาโปรแกรมตามสถานที่อโคจรมาลองดูแล้วปรากฎว่ายังต้องปรับปรุงในอีกหลายๆ เรื่องครับเมื่อเทียบกับเวอร์ชั่นบน Windows ที่เคยใช้มา

- การ Render ยังคงช้าและกินหน่วยความจำมาก (ผมเปิด iTunes ไปแล้ว Search สถานที่บน Google Earth ปรากฎว่าเพลงฟังไม่รูั้เรื่องเลย - จากข้างบน ผมเคยใช้บนเครื่อง Dell Latitude VGA onboard กระจอกๆ ยัง Render ดีกว่า iBook เครื่องนี้ที่เป็น VGA ของ ATI - Icon ของ Google Earth ยังไม่ใช่ icon แบบความละเอียดสูง (32 x 32 pixel ?)

นอกนั้นการใช้งานและฟังก์ชั่นต่างๆ ก็เหมือนๆ กับเวอร์ชั่นบน Windows ครับ คิดว่าตัวจริงคงจะออกมาเร็วๆ นี้

ยังไงก็ตาม ผมเอา WW2D ออกไปแล้วล่ะ
